See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

Loved the tour, our guide was enthusiastic, funny and informative. Washington DC at night is beautiful, there was less traffic (cars and pedestrian) than during the daytime. I loved the fact that our speed was NOT limited. We saw the "other company" tour group as we zoomed by, and it looked crowded. The next day, we saw the "other company's" group practicing in an alley! Our tour was the better of the tours by a mile. Two hours was sufficient time to see the city and have fun on our segways. I would highly recommend this tour! Fun! Thank you!

What a great way to see DC. To ride on a Segway gives you such freedom as you get a general idea of the layout of the city. The tour gives you the overview you need to go back out on your own and visit the interiors of these sites at a later time. The tour personnel were very friendly. Although we did not get to visit every site, it was very entertaining. It sure beats sitting on some tour bus.

My son and I took the Capitol tour for my birthday. Perfect way to see the numerous sites at a pedestrian scale. It happened to be one of those days with dozens of school tours, we were a distinct hit with the younger set. Great guides, it is amazing how much ground you can cover at 10 miles per hour.

We had a good time on our tour of DC. The Segways were fun to ride, and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and professional. I only wish it were a bit longer; it was 2 hours including time for setup and instruction, maybe 1:20 or so of actual riding around.

I was a bit apprehensive when I first got onto the Segway - but after stabilizing by putting pressure on my toes and heels (as instructed), all was well and good. The tour guides were courteous and very informative. The equipment was the latest model (we researched this - other tours did not have the newest model as you did). I highly recommend this tour. I'd do it again in another city. I absolutely loved it.

My husband and I were visiting our daughter and son-in-law. We come to DC at least once a year and thought the Segway tour would be something different. It was! The training was thorough and we felt very safe and comfortable. The earpieces really helped us to hear our guide's instructions and descriptions of the sites we were seeing. We had a lot of fun and would definitely love to do a Segway tour again.

I booked with Capital Segway because (1) they had more time slots than the others (2) they don't restrict the speed (3) the biggest reason is that each of us had wireless headset so we could hear our tour guide regardless of whether we were stopped at an interesting site or cruising along a path. This allowed him to provide more narration and information without having to be turning your head to attempt to listen the guide. This is very important when you're trying to drive a Segway and listen at the same time. It gives you the ability to focus on where your going and the surroundings all the while clearly hearing the insight about the area/attractions.

My father 60, mother 57, sister 36 and I 31, LOVED IT. The absolute best and most fun way to see D.C. is on a segway. We have not stopped talking about our segway tour and would recommend it to anyone.
