See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

The Segway tour provided an interesting and fun way to see the National Mall and monuments of DC. With a convenient location right next to a metro station, the Segway tour alleviated any concerns or headaches associated with parking. The tour included radios with headsets so that each member of the tour clearly heard the narrative of the guide regardless of the location. The Segway proved easy to master and fun to ride. The amount of territory covered in two hours is impressive and effortless thanks to the wheels of the Segway. A great price and knowledgeable tour guides made this a very worthwhile trip to DC.

Great way to see Washington DC when you are on a time crunch. Plus it cuts out on a lot of walking or fees for taxi's.

I was so impressed with our tour guide Nick. He made the adventure in Washington DC fun and exciting. I have to admit I was a little over confident at one time and started to go very fast. I panicked and Nick talked me down and brought me to a safe speed. If you are thinking about going on a Segway tour in Washington DC ask for Nick he has a dry sense of humor and makes the tour extra fun. It was FUN with a capital F!!!

This is the 2nd time Ive taken this tour. Last time was great, this time even better... they now use headsets so you can hear the narration, and they use the bike lanes instead of the sidewalks. We took the 7pm tour which gave us awesome sunset views, and there was less pedestrian traffic so we were able to see both sides of the Capitol. Matt was very informative, and a great tour leader. This is a must do activity...

Not really worth it. Most of the time you are dodging traffic, people, busses, and parked cars, or waiting for traffic lights. Taxi drivers flip you off because we travel down the middle of the road. Even the police yelled at us because we were blocking traffic. The group had to stop 5 times to change batteries in the headsets (you would think they would get rechargable sets and keep them charged). Plus, you dont get to see much as you whiz past buildings a 10mph.

We loved this event and this is the 2nd time I have been. The guide was exceptional and the places we visited was well worth the money. Riding in the street is scary but I guess all motor vehicals have to. My major conern is cleaniness with the ear pieces. There are lots of germs that peole carry and I know your guides make an effort to clean after each tour but I really think that is just nasty and decreased the value of the tour. I'd like to see givnig people the option to either use your recycled ones, bring their own or buy one for a dollar or something.

Touring Washington, DC by Segway is a great way to see the historical sites. In addition to the history you have the fun of racing along on a Segway. It takes almost no time to learn how to operate the Segway and then you're off touring the city. Our guide, Morgan, made sure that we learned some interesting facts about the city and sites such as the White House, Department of the Treasury building, the Capital and the Washington Monument. He had many amusing anecdotes about the city and some of the historical figures which made the tour more entertaining. When touring on a Segway, you're the envy of every walking tourist that you meet! Many "walkers" were interested to know whether it was difficult to learn how to operate or balance on the machines. Since this was my first time, I was happy to tell them that it took virtually no time at all. I thought I'd be nervous since for part of the tour, we rode in the street in traffic, but the feeling of riding is so freeing that I was suprised to not be nervous at all once we started. One of the best parts of the tour was being able to go as fast as we wanted on Pennsylvania Avenue since it is closed to motor vehicle traffic. The Segway City Tour was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see the sites in a different way.

Segways are a great way to tour any city since they are very easy and intuitive to ride and allow you to get to a lot of places in a little it of time. You can also get to places that you couldn't get to on a tour bus since they can go on sidewalks. The tour guide was funny and informative and always made sure that everyone in our group was keeping up. I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting to tour DC!
