It'll be nice if the company can offer free beer/drinks after the tour.

Segway is the ONLY way to tour the sites in DC ! !
Sat, Oct 4  6:30 PM RJH7001 Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
My girlfriend and I had our best date ever touring DC on the Segway! It was fun and exciting. Your tour guides were friendly, energetic, informative and funny! We enjoyed everthing about your tour. We will definately do the tour again when we go back to DC, but we will do the day time tour next time! The segways are easy to learn how to drive....and once you get comfortable on them, all you want to do is GO, GO, GO ! ! ! ! ! !

My nephew and his wife, from Oklahoma, came to Washington, D.C. for a visit. I reserved a segway tour for them as an anniversary gift. They loved it! My nephew said that this was an activity he would see other people do but never thought he would actually be the one doing it! Their evening segway tour was the highlight of their trip.

I had so much fun riding the Segway around Washington, DC. I was surprised how easy it was. The tour guides were very good and everyone in the group had a great time. Thanks, Larry

Being a local, I didn't know how much I would like the Segway Tour, but I was sure that my mother, who is from Illinois and my mother-in-law, from California would certainly like it. Well, not only did they like it, but I did too. The guide (Will) is very informative with his narrative... and, probably the most obvious from the start, is that the Segways are probably the most fun I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, young and old (My mother-in-law has a bad back, and she was fine throughout the tour) and tourists/locals alike.

Nightime Segway Capital Tour (by Capital Segway)

I highly recommend Capital Segway. It was a fantastic experience! We took the night tour and it was wonderful (less traffic and people to contend with). There were about 10 people in that night group and only 1 had ever been on a Segway before. Capital Segway provided excellent training, practice sessions, and oversight. They helped each person individually. By the time we left the park after our practice sessions, everyone was zipping around with confidence and ease. They were very attentive to both the group and our needs/precautions. I say this because we came across another Segway group during the tour that gave me great pause (and gratitude that I had chosen Capital Segway). Our night group actually had two small red flashing lights for each participant. One that was mounted on the front of the Segway and another that each participant clipped to their back (collar/pant, etc). This made a huge difference in both our ability to follow and see the group at night but also for our own safety and allowing cars and people to see us. Again, I say this as we came across another company's Segway tour in front of the Capital and they had ZERO lights. I could barely see them and there were a few feet away. Some of their tour participants came up to our group, lost because they couldn't find/see their own and they were just behind us in the dark. I thought, "How dangerous!" It was actually pretty irresponsible of that tour operator. It would be very easy to be hit by a car or something It made me glad that we had chosen Capital Segway and reinforced my opinion of their oversight. They would direct traffic when we went through intersections and always had a person leading and another bringing up the rear so that no one got too separated from the group. The guides were fun and very informative. I would definitely do it again if/when I go back to DC! It was an absolute blast. I am also glad I chose the night time. With the buildings illuminated, we could still see everything but riding in the cool night air was fun.

The tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly and personable. Touring D.C. on a Segway is the only way to go. I highly recommend it.

IN TOWN FOR DAUGHTERS WEDDING. TOOK SON AND FRIENDS ON THE TOUR FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT. BEEN TO DC MANY TIMES, SO MORE THE THRILL OF THE SEGWAY THAN THE LOCATION. BUT THE COMBINATION IS GREAT. GOOD TOUR GUIDES, INSTRUCTIVE, INFORMATIVE. ENJOYED IT THOROUGHLY. GAVE GIFT CERTIFICATES TO OTHERS TO ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE. WOULD SUGGEST IT TO ANYONE. STEVE AND SUE

I was very impressed with the tour company. They had new Segways, and didn't limit the speed like some companies do. Helmets were new, and the office was adequate for initial training to get comfortable on the machine. The guide/instructor was generally good at first. I felt good about riding in the local area, and she pointed out the sites with good knowledge and speaking ability. My complaint was when a gentleman in our group hit a chain support pole because he wasn't looking where he was going. It was completely his fault, which he acknowledged, but because he may have been injured, the tour was delayed. That was no problem--we wanted to be sure he was okay. However, the guide looked like she was completely in shock and didn't take any action. She asked if he was okay, but essentially stood there and looked at him until a Park Policeman came up and called an ambulance. Then we stood/rode around for about 45 minutes until another person from the shop could come get us. Since we had time to kill, we wanted to ride around the local area, but she said it wasn't allowed. My gut feeling was she just didn't want to lose control of her group. If that's the case, tell us, but don't get frantic and start saying things are ALL off limits when they're really not. Suggestions: 1. Guides should be proactive. Call the ambulance, and let them determine if the person is hurt. 2. Sometimes things are scheduled tightly. Allow those people who need to leave to get back to the shop when they have to. As it was, we were late because we had to wait for someone to get us back, even though we knew where we were and where we had to go. 3. Provide maps of the proposed tour route. Then if something happens and people need to head back before the end of the tour, they can follow the map. 4. If you let us know ahead of time that certain things are not allowed (like riding on the Mall), we won't be surprised when you throw that at us when something unusual happens. In fact, a very quick overview of the actual tour would be nice...nothing detailed, but a slide with an overhead view, which contains the unusual items, would only take a minute or two, but would minimize surprises. *The company should be able to allow this with proper liability releases and positive ID checks if they're worried about theft, etc.

We had a blast and want to go again.

My wife and I wanted to doing something fun and different for her mom and step father while they were in town for vacation. I saw the video of the Caps taking a tour with Capital Segway and thought, I need to try that out. Finally after months of talking we decided to do it. Will and Adam (our tour guides) were great and fun. They did a great job providing the history behind the buildings and monuments in DC. None of us had ever been on a Segway before and so some of us were a little nervous. After a shakey start all of us were up and rolling. The tour lasted about 2 hours and provided plenty of time for cruising. I am glad we finally did it and would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn a little history and get a chance to ride a Segway. It was worth the money and we had a blast. The in-laws are already talking about doing again the next time they are in town.
