See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

We all loved being on our Segways but I was a little disappointed that we didn't see the cherry blossoms and memorials on the tour. I was hoping to cover a bit more ground on the tour.

My husband and I recently took the Cap Segway tour in D.C. We totally enjoyed it!!! It was very fun!!! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. We would really recommend this to anyone, and we will definitely do this in other cities.

Great tour & excellent equipment. We were given the opportunity to learn in the store, then in a park across the street. Everyone felt comfortable before setting out on the tour. The equipment was in excellent condition and the guides were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. 7 in our group, with 2 guides. The only problem was if you got too far from the guide the audio in the headset would cut in and out. The tour guide kept us moving, and there were several opportunities for stopping and taking photos. Riding and maneuvering a Segway is somewhat physical so I would not recommend this to someone with physical or visual impairments, but I am a bit a of klutz and I picked it up within minutes. The Segways are very easy to maneuver. The day we went was quite cool and misty, but we live in northern Canada so are used to the cold, and we were dressed for it so were fine. But for those coming from warm climates, or not dressed properly it would have been uncomfortable. The price point was OK. We know the equipment is expensive so were OK with the price, but if the price were much higher it might be a harder sell. We had never been on a Segway before, and didn't want to get of when the tour was done! HIGHLY recommend this tour.

You cannot believe the walking you have to do in D.C. This is away to see everything. Then decide what you want to do and go back and do it. This trip gives you such information and the sights and you are not tired at the end of the tour. If you have only one day in D.C. take this tour.

What a fun thing to do! Highly recommend Capital Segway, for their organization and story telling on tour, not to mention the fact that there is no huge deposit required like with the other segway tours in town. Really appreciate that their bathroom is clean too. It's the little things that make the difference, you know!

We live in NC, have lived just outside DC for years previously, and we met our kids who live in NYC for the weekend, to see the Cherry Blossoms, etc. and this was the hit of the trip, in spite of cold weather. It was fun, educational, fun, gave us a new perspective to see the sights, fun, easy to learn, fun, ..............did I say fun?

I was not sure if I would like it but some family came in from out of town and this was something different to try. I fell in love with it! The best way to get around DC and see everything. Would love to be apart of a group that you rent the Segway for the day to stop and go into museums etc. Will definitely do it again! Thanks for such a great experience!! The tour guide was great!

We were in Washington, DC for five days, and the Segway tour was the highlight of the trip for our entire family. The staff was extremely helpful and made sure we were comfortable on the Segways before starting the tour. Our family took the tour early in our trip to know what we wanted to go back to and see again. We would highly recommend this tour/activity to anyone traveling to and touring DC. This tour is well worth the money and we will definitely do this again if we are back in DC!

We loved it. But, we ended up waiting for slower members of the tour very often. We were following the tour leader who was going at normal (I assume) speed, but we often stopped to let the others catch up. It took a fair amount of time out of the tour, and maybe would require an adjustment of the route so that we would all get back in time. I don't know how to remedy this, as the tour leaders would not know ahead of time what a comfortable speed would be for everyone. Why bother to be on a segway if you are standing on it? I would have like to go to the Lincoln Memorial as part of the tour. The most fun was moving on it!

This was our second time doing the tour, this time bringing our grown children visiting. This is a great way to take people from out of town on a very "unique" way to see DC. These folks are the best!!!
