See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

I recently attended the Rally to Restore Sanity in DC and this was my first trip to the city. On our first day there we did the Segway tour and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. In about 2 hours we were able to orient ourselves with the city and determine what we really wanted to go and see later and what we could skip out on this time. Our tour guides were absolutely fantastic, incredibly informative without being boring. A true "must do" for anyone.

Segwaying IS fun. Touring a city like Washington is a big job. Zipping along with Scott was great. Good weather , a bit of humour, The President landing in his helicopter (we got lucky there) Embrace the Segway at this cost you get to play with a $5000 gadget . Two of the group just about made it out of the shop, in twenty minutes they were ready, after 2 hours so relaxed. Remember you are experiencing the Segway ... in DC ... you go where the Presidents go after The Inauguration back to the White House. Great two hours.

The guides were fabulous! They were very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We had a great time and I recommend this tour to friends and colleagues all the time.

My husband and I are senior citizens who have been interested in trying a segway tour for a few years. Washington, DC seemed to be the perfect place to experience it. The tour took us to a lot of the best views in the city. While we were a little nervous at first, our guides Mario and Karen helped us get more comfortable on the segways. We had the most amazing time zipping around DC and the commentary provided by the guides was very interesting and entertaining. We spent a month in DC and this was definitely one of the best experiences--thank you Capital Segway!

I was surprised at how simple the Segway was to ride. The instructor was very helpful, providing tips on control, maneuverability, and possible pitfalls so that we knew what to do, as well as, what not to do. A few minutes of practice in the park across the street was ample time to give everyone a chance to get comfortable with the handling of the Segway and we were all ready to go. The guide was also very knowledgeable regarding the sites we visited along our route. The history and trivia was very interesting and it gives you an opportunity to get acclimated with the layout of the city. We actually recommended the tour to others in our hotel during the rest of our stay and we've been recommending it to all our friends and family. It was tremendous fun no one should miss.

I have now done this in the day and at night. I think you should give return customers a break. I recommend this to everyone and do it with my guest when they are in town.

Wow- the Segway tour was soooo great!!!!!! I was a little nervous at first but as soon as I got on it I was a natural. Our guide, Mario was so much fun and very informative. It was great being able to ride in the bike lanes right in the middle of Pennsylvania Ave. This was better than any tour bus or any bike tour, I recommend the Segway tour to anyone and everyone!!! I'm looking forward to doing this again in another city. It was worth every penny!

it was our first experience with the segway. the office staffer was not all that friendly. he was ok but could have been more interacting with the customers to make them comfortable. i am talking about customers who are a bit apprehensive trying segway for the first tme. however, our tour guide, karen was very very good. she understood the needs of the newbies and helped out our needs. in short, i would say the best way to do city tours provided you have a good tour guide.
