| I have lived near DC my whole life, but I learned a lot of new things from the guide. It was a fast paced and fun-filled tour. Makes me want to own a Segway! |

| We had a ball. The staff was very helpful and supportive of one of the people in our trio who was very anxious about the activity. |

| Everyone in my party (age range 18-75) really enjoyed the Segway tour. My only suggestion is that for the 8 pm tour (the one we took) anyone with even slight sight impairment be followed closely or paired with a buddy or something so that on the darkest stretches obstructions can be pointed out. My 75 year old uncle collided with a large immobile object primarily because it was a dark unlit stretch of sidewalk and he couldn't discern the subtle shades of gray needed to make out the objects' presence. He could have been paying better attention, but if it had been lighter chances are better he would have avoided the collision; or if I had known to stay close to him to point out the objects if it looked like he was going hit something. He was not at all hurt; not even sore the next day, and he had a really good time. |

| Do not hold back on taking the Segway tour of Washington, DC! Anyone can learn to ride a Segway in less than three minutes--the key insight? It balances you, you do not balance the Segway!
I held back because I am close to 70 years of age. Then I saw a lady who had ten or 15 years on me, happily cruising down the DC streets, so my wife and I gave it a try. We were up and going in less than three minutes. Now, I've taken four groups of friends and out-of-town visitors for their rides. It is as close to flying as you will ever get, while staying on the ground.
Two asides: 1) If you cannot stand for about two hours, with occasional rests to sit down, it is not for you, and 2) take an evening or late afternoon tour if possible.
Why? The tour guides are young and healthy and "party-hearty." For them, the day begins about 5 PM when they wake up. You'll get the same spiel on any trip, but the enthusiasm is definitely lacking in the morning and early afternoon. |

| Riding Segways is a thrill in and of itself. Combining the trip with great sites and historical facts provided by skilled historians makes it even better! |
