Capital Segway

Would highly recommend this tour, particularly if you want to cover a lot of sites (Lincoln Memorial, Capitol, etc) that normally require a lot of walking. Takes only a few minutes to learn how to drive with confidence. Very intuitive device.

I have been to DC multiple times. I have walked, rode a bike and now Segwayed my way around the Capital. This is a fun way to take in a lot of the Capital in a short time. Highly recommend!

Both of our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The instruction we received on operating the Segways was great!

I was very nervous to ride a Segway... But another lady in the tour group told me it was really easy. "just don't have a death grip on the handle bars". the training video however, showed quite a few things to "not do" or you could tip it or fall backwards. However, it was really easy to do and we had a blast. We will definitely do it again!

This is perfect if you have a short time to do sightseeing, Excelent guide, with a lot of information.

My son and I took the Capitol tour for my birthday. Perfect way to see the numerous sites at a pedestrian scale. It happened to be one of those days with dozens of school tours, we were a distinct hit with the younger set. Great guides, it is amazing how much ground you can cover at 10 miles per hour.

Timid at first, but staff got us over it less than five minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Great tour guide, flawless equipment. You are missing out if you don't do this before hitting the pavement to see all there is to see.

If you haven't had a chance to get on a Segway then DC in my opinion is a good place to start given the amount of history (and relatively flat roads). Always wanted to try using a Segway and had a fantastic time. The team made it easy to use them and try them out before we all went around DC. Excellent experience. Very easy to learn how to handle the Segway. Tour was well run and informative.

Really enjoyed the guide and the fact that he narrated the entire tour as we were touring, with the headsets.

This was a great tour. It was the highlight of our 3 day trip. We did this on the 1st day of our vacation so that we could see what we could see on the tour, and then re-visit anything that we wanted to take a closer look at (i.e. Climb the steps at the Lincoln Memorial, and walk through the WWII Memorial...etc) First there is riding the Segway - one of the top 10 most fun things we done in our lives. They are amazing, and take 30 seconds to learn how to ride. 2nd, our tour guide (can't remember his name for the life of me! College kid from GW, Jimmy?) was very knowledgeable, and didn't seem like he just worked their to ride a Segway all day - he enjoyed giving the tour. I read pretty much every review on the other companies that give Segway tours and we decided on this one out of shear location because it was right across from a metro station. We are so glad we did and recommend this tour to anyone!

This fun and nervously anticipated Segway TOUR was an ABSOLUTE highlight. From the welcome to the store and the ease of entry to info and training on the Segway, it felt comfortable from the outset. The Segway was easy to manage almost immediately and way too much fun!!!! The tour began under the fabulous guidance of our leader who's knowledge and sense of humour, and acceptance of multiples of stupid questions (which never phased him) was excellent. The ground we covered was huge, the knowledge gained at each sight was personal and extensive, the extra inside details that came from the personal touch of only 8 people was a complete bonus and this really was the absolute highlight of my stay in Washington. I strongly recommend this tour and would do it again in a heartbeat. Next time I'm bringing my kids!!

The four of us took the Segway tour on our first day in DC. We had a great time and the guide was wonderful. There were only four of us in the group and the weather was great. The Segway tour is what stands out from your four day trip to DC :)
