Capital Segway

Weather was perfect. Guides were informative and entertaining. Only down side is if you have trouble standing for two hours. I have health issues, but it was still fun.

I'm really impressed from the seagway tour, I saw most of DC attractions and I knew the history of every attraction and all this in 2 hours, moreover the seagway itself is really impressive and the tour guide was fantastic.

This was my second time to do this tour. We loved our guides, Matt and Matt. We will do it again when we are back in town.

I recommend this to everyone. The staff is very helpful and polite, and the segway tour was absolutely amazing.

Good way to get a brief overview of the area. You are able to cover a lot of ground and our guide provided good information. It is helpful in determining which places you would like to plan to spend more time at.

Training was comprehensive, guides were friendly, informative and we were provided instructions and information with humour and a remarkable amount of detail. Would recommend this company to anyone who wanted a fun and unique time and a thorough tour of the area.

Once a quarter, my company encourages us to take team outings/ schedule fun events to celebrate our accomplishments and to do a little bit of team building. Our team is somewhat scattered all over the area so we decided to do something in DC. I figured a Segway tour would be a nice way to encorporate the best of two worlds: learning about our nation's history while traveling in style... and that we did! All five of us had a great time laughing at each other and our tour guides (who were cracking silly jokes the entire time). The tour was ~2 hours long and they give you plenty of practice before you begin. I've never seen so many sites in such a short amount of time! I would definitely recommend Capital Segway to anyone - singles, couples, groups, etc!

Segways were surprisingly fun! Our tour guide, Aaron (sp?) was really funny and friendly. Highly recommend.

I have wanted to try a Segway since they were invented. That & a trip to DC were both on my bucket list. We were shown a video then given basic individual instruction inside the store. Then we left the store and went to a park across the street to work on our skills. Our guide was exceptionally attentive, and coached each of us as we honed our skills and practiced stopping and turning. Then we went on our tour. Our guide kept an eye on all of us and gave us instruction on where to ride through an audio system that worked beautifully. So he kept us safe and narrated a fantastic tour of DC. Best of all, riding the Segway was more fun than I can describe!!!! I'm 64 & a non-smoker fighting lung cancer for two years, so it has been awhile since I had this much fun. If you get the chance ...... Do it!!!

Capital Segway was absolutely incredible!! They provide headsets (unlike most other Segway companies in the area) which allow you to see so much more of the city since you don't have to take frequent stops to hear about each location. The tour guides were so funny and kept the whole group really entertained! They also let our group take stops often for pictures. I've never been on a Segway before, but they made it super easy to learn! If you're going to DC, I highly recommend this!! And one more tip-- the evening tours are much better- it's awesome to see the sun set while you're riding in style on the Segway :)

This was a really fun tour with good information as you travel around, we even got to do a few sights that weren't on the list as we had extra time due to all being there early. We saw a few other tours which had the limited speed and had to wear yellow jackets, would highly recommend not doing those ones as you don't get the full experience of a segway.

As a resident of Maryland, I had seen all the sights before, but the experience was totally worth it just to have the fun of zipping around DC on the Segway. Our 2 tour guides were wonderful, and the ability for them to patter in your headphone as everyone was moving meant that we didn't have to make stops for everyone to gather around and listen to a presentation at each site. Would totally bring out-of-towners on this entertaining tour.

The segway tour is a great way to see the sites of washington d.c in a fun and enjoyable style. The guides were entertaining and knowledgeable. the segways are fun and easy to operate.

Thoroughly enjoyed the segway--much easier to use than I 'd thought. The small group of only 5 people helped.

Riding segways is a very fun experience. They are amazing machines, and offer the rider a new sense of motion and movement. But sharing the sidewalks with gaggles of slow-walking tourists detracts from the experience. Much of the two hours was spent slowly crawling along with the walking crowd. The best part of the tour was being able to zip around fast and free in the square across from the segway store and in the bike lane along Pennsylvania Ave. As a local, the tour itself was old hat, didnt learn anything new. More riding, fewer sidewalks, less monument trivia, would be a better use of time. Consider allowing the groups to spend the final 10-15 minutes back in the park to zip around.
