Capital Segway

I have been around Washington for many years, so the tour of Washington was not why I chose the tour. That said, the tour was very interesting. I wanted to try out the Segway, and I wondered how difficult it would be to use. I found the Segway easy to get to use, and the short training session beforehand very helpful (confidence building). Anyway, I very much enjoyed the Segway tour of Washington, and I would recommend it to any who might have the desire to try it.

I have been to DC many times and have seen all the usual tourist sites. This tour was a great way to revisit many of those sites and see them in a totally new, fun way. Great FUN!

This is a great fun event. We set it up towards the beginning of the trip to give us an overview of the city. Our guide Max was awesome. He worked with us to ensure we knew how to use the Segway and also gave great info about the places we visited. We definitely will use it again in another city.

We had a great time on the Segway Tour of DC. Being born in DC and raised in the close in suburbs, their was not much new information for me to learn, but it gives a great over view of the town. The Segway's were a lot of fun, bringing a unique perspective as you can see a lot, right close up. I would suggest it for the begining of a trip to DC, so that you can find things that you might want to study in depth later on. There were a few trivial little mistakes in the historical presentation, but they really did not make a difference in understanding the city, and I only caught them being a Congressional Staffer myself. Over all I would suggest this tour to any visitor or local, would be twice as nice though if it were half the price, but still a good value as it is.

My husband has always wanted to do a Segway tour and being someone who is afraid of rollerskating or bicyclying I have refused. As a surprise anniversary gift this year I booked us a weekend trip to Washington D.C. and as part of the trip we were to take a Segway tour. To put it mildly HE LOVED IT and SO DID I!!!! After viewing the instructional video I was terrified of falling, being mamed, etc. However, just after a few minutes of personalized instruction from a very, very patient young man, I was off and gliding! My husband enjoyed the ride, but I think he more enjoyed watching me overcome my fear. The machines were wonderful and very easy to use. One of the teenagers on our tour insisted that her mother purchase one when they finished the trip. The tour guides were fantastic and very informative. They even kept our group up to date on the score of the U.S. vs. Brazil soccer game which was taking place during our tour. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone, young & old, who would like to see D.C. from a different perspective. We have toured D.C. many many times in our 33 years of marriage (even spent our honeymoon there). This was by far one of the best tours that we have ever taken and will definitely do it again. We are now looking into a Segway tour for our trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico at Christmas time with our adult children. Can't wait !!!

We had a great time on our tour. The guides were informative and friendly and allowed us a nice bit of freedom to enjoy our segways as well! It's a great way to see some sites in a short time and helps decide which places you would like to revisit and devote a lot of time to.

My woman and I very much enjoyed the Segway night tour we had in D.C. The machines were fun and the tour, lead by a very competent and clever young man, was excellent. We found the experience to be very good value for money.

We're locals who have always wanted to try out Segways. This was a great experience. The staff is very friendly and personable. Will was a great guide--very accommodating with photos and full of DC knowledge!

We are still talking about our experience touring DC on SEGWAYS! My husband, Mitch and I have recommended the concept and Capital Segways to everyone that we've talked with because we had a blast whizzing around the city taking in the many sights! Reservations were easy and confirmation quick. Steve at Capital Segways welcomed us on the morning of our tour and our tour guide, Max was professional, thorough about instructions for the Segways, funny and quite informed about the sights in Washington, DC. Tons of fun at a fair price...worth the exhilaration! The only recommendation that I would have would be more practice getting on and off the device before you start out.

The earpiece was a good idea. It helped us have more frredom than on other Segway tours in other cities.

It was very easy to learn how to ride the Segway. We are so glad that we decided to take the tour and it definately was one of the highlights of our trip. I would strongly suggest it. It's a great way to learn alot about DC in a fun way. Our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting.

I've lived in DC for 3 years and saw and learned things I never would have had I not taken this tour. Riding the segway is easy and fun. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and not a hardass about enjoying ourselves.
