Capital Segway

Had a great time. The guide, Scott, was fantastic!!! Couldn't have asked for a better guide. Have recommended this tour to numerous friends and even passed the information on to the campground we stayed at for future campers. Would liked to have seen more but understand the NPS was the limiting factor in that decision. Again, great job Scott!!!

Great way to see DC without all the walking

Night was a great time to go. Guides were knowledgable and entertaining about DC, but I was having too much fun to listen to everything.

My husband who is 85 and I had the best experience on the tour. We never could have walked to see all these places. The tour guide Adam was great and we both had a fun tour of Washington that we will never forget.

This tour is primarily focused on riding a Segway through a very historical area in the evening than it is an in-depth tour. But it was so much fun to do, espescially with my boss and co-workers. There was plenty of instruction and time to get comfortable with riding the Segway in the park across the street. The tour guides are college aged, but were really good at finding that balance between being hip, funny, interesting, and respectful. We had time to play, but we were also instructed on when to be respectful at different locations and why. We covered a lot of territory - the White House, Washington Monument, down the mall, Smithsonian, Native American museum, the Capitol, and then back. It was very high-level with some interesting factoids. In the two hours, there is plenty of time for "playing" on the Segway, including some racing in an abandoned parking lot against my boss and co-workers. My boss, who wasn't really keen on doing "touristy" things, said this was an excellent idea and couldn't stop talking about it to others afterwards.

A super two hour adventure of history, play, fellowship and fun. The leadership was a great balance of safe but challenging. I did the segway in Richmond VA but it was not near the fun.

Great way to see the sights as well as a fun ride! The evening tour was especially great as seeing the monuments and buildings lighted is beautiful! Having the headphones was a plus...And the guides were happy to answer questions and take photos of us along the way! I would highly recommend this tour!

Three friends came to visit from NYC so I was looking for something different to entertain us. I cannot think of a better way to spend a beautiful day in DC! We all had an absolute blast. The tour guides were great. They were entertaining and relaxed with the group. They were also very accommodating to one of my friends who had to leave early. I highly recommend this and will do it again with the next group of friends that come to town. Well worth the money.

The Segway Tour with Capital Segway was AMAZING! I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had. Was in town on business by myself and decided to take the evening tour! The tour guides made if so interesting and exciting...plus the Segways are a great time! I may even do a tour in another city very soon! This is a must-do in DC!

Riding the Segway was incredibly easy and took less than 5 minutes to master. It was a great, unique way to tour the city. Adam was an extremely knowledgeable tour guide that really catered to us. He even reposed us for pictures to make them better because he knew where the best pictures could be taken. I've already recommended this tour to other people! If you aren't sure what you want to stand in line for and what can just be seen from the outside, take this tour first. It will help you decide what you want to go back to and see in detail.

What an entertaining and fun way to get the lay of the land in DC. Highly Recommend. But don't expect heavy details from the guide on tourist sites and interesting facts. Segway guides do not have to be licensed from the District, nor do they have to take any formal training. And it shows. But all in all, I would do it again.

My fiance and I had pretty high expectations after reading the glowing reviews on zerve. Most of them are so good, part of me worried they were fake reviews posted by employees. Luckily, all the hype is true- we had a great time. Its amazing how much ground you cover, from the white house to the capitol building, and everything in between, although the segways are so fun you may end up not paying much attention to the sights. Our tour started around 7pm, which was cool because we didnt have to deal with much pedestrian traffic. I had a hard time going up and down curbs at first, but by the end, I was racing around like crazy and did NOT want it to end. We even debated doing the tour again a couple days later, just to get more segway time in. The only complaint I can think of was that the guide delivered his speeches in sort of a bored, monotone voice. He didnt seem very interested in the sites and his speeches themselves were so-so. Besides that he was very helpful and made us feel safe on the sometimes intimidating segways. Very Highly recommended. Unforgettable time.

A great experience. I would find going with large groups less exciting because that would be too much waiting for others, etc. However, this is a great time, a fun way to cover a ton of ground, and get the inside scoop on the city. The guide was very good. I will be coming back next fall with my family and will definitely use Capital Segway again. I will probably pay a little extra for a private tour ...

This was the third segway tour for myself and the first for my young adult daughter. I have never had a bad experience with any of the tours in San Francisco, Gettysburg and now in Washington D. C. Segway is a fun, relaxing way to see many sights not possible on foot or by personal vehicle. The staff and tour guides are very patient in making sure each person is comfortable, trained in its use and safe. They are very knowledgable in the history of the area. Just a very fun and informative adventure.
