Capital Segway

I really enjoyed my segway tour of D.C.! One of the benefits is that I got to see many of the important sites of the capitol without having to spend all day walking around. The segways were easy to use, and I had a blast riding them around. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the sites and had information that I would not otherwise have learned, which was nice as well. I recommend this for younger people for the experience of riding the segway, and older people for the joy of seeing the sites that D.C. has to offer!

My family and I took the Capital Segway tour in DC. We had the best time! Karen, our guide, was fantastic. She showed us how to use the Segways in the store and then took us to the park for more practice. We saw all of the sights in DC while riding by people on our Segways. My son rode the X2 Segway, an off road model while his friend, my husband and myself rode the I 2, on road model. We wore helmets but did not need knee pads or elbow pads. My son's friend asked to look in a gift shop and Karen stayed with the Segways while we looked. I highly recommend this tour to everyone, athletic and klutz's alike.

My husband and I have been itching to ride Segways for a long time and we're both happy to report that the experience exceeded our expectations! The tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly and very entertaining. We highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see a great deal of the city in a short amount of time.

What a treat. I'll look for Segways any where I travel. Covered a lot of territory without exhausting myself - plenty of opportunity for photos/videos. Very friendly and attentive staff. The movie star part - everybody you pass wishes they were you!!! A 5-Star Event...

It was a cold day in DC, but we were dressed for the weather. We had a lot of fun seeing the sites of DC on the Segway. When were finished the trip we kept commenting on how we wish we had them back to get places. We thought that someone could make a fortune having Segways at the end of the Zoo just to return up the hill. They were easy to use and fun to ride. The guide provided a safe atmosphere and lots of good information. I have recommended it to several people.

We were in the DC area attending a training class near Dulles airport and this looked like something fun and different to do. I am originally from the DC area so I have seen the sites many time but never like this - it was a lot of fun. I was slightly dubious of the Segway and my ability to ride one so I was pleasantly surprised how easy they are to operate. A few minutes into the tour we were all moving well and had it down. It was so much fun to get the Segway to full speed and to make tight turns around objects. I highly recommend this tour and the Segway in general. This tour company was great and had very nice tour guides, facilities and new Segway's. It was a fun and easy way to cover a lot of ground in a short period of time so try it!

A Segway tour was on our "Bucket List" and we are glad we did it. It was remarkably easy to learn to ride the Segway, and the guides and staff made sure you were comfortable before they took you out in the streets and sidewalks. In just a few minutes, we were off to see the sights. The guides were fairly well informed about the sights, but this is not the kind of tour to take if you are looking for in-depth knowledge about all of the sights you are going to see. What you get is a quick overview of a lot of sights, and you are able to cover a lot of ground in just a few hours. The best part, though, is the Segway is fun to ride, and in no time at all, you will feel comfortable as you cruise the walkways of DC. The guides were fun, and it is a good bet that you will meet other fun-loving people as part of your tour group.

This was my second Segway tour and it was wonderful! A great way to get your bearings and see a lot of the city. Super fun!

This tour was so much fun. My husband and I were on a very tight schedule on our trip, we had a short period of time to see all of the landmarks in the city and this was the perfect way to do it. The tour guide gave us a great deal of history on the areas we visited and answered any additional questions that the group had. He was super helpful in showing us how to use the Segways while on our tour and even went so far as to ask if anyone needed him to take pictures at all the different landmarks (his name was Nick). I saw this tour posted on Trip Advisor and they said that it was the best way to see the city.......I totally agree!! My husband and I were delighted with every aspect of the tour. The different builidings and their history were amazing to learn about and riding the Segway was the icing on the cake. We had an amesome time and will visit the city again Cheers!

If the temperature wasn't the coldest ever, it would have been so perfect. Our tour guide Noah, had great information about all of the sites we saw on the East side of the Mall. My mother was visiting from Canada and never has done anything like it and if we had the need, we would definately get a segway vehicle. Great fun, will tell everyone about it. Thank you Capital Segway.

We had such a great time seeing D.C. via the Segways. There was no way we could have covered so much ground by foot. Highly recommeded!

The Capitol Segway tour was worth every penny. I had never been on a segway before and it was so much fun. The segway tour was the highlight of my trip to Washington D.C.!

We absolutely loved this! Our guide was wonderful and took lots of time to take pictures of us and take us to good photo op spots. He knew a lot about the DC sites. We are in our late thirties and had never ridden a Segway before. The training is brief and you feel comfortable on the Segway right away. They have a new version of the Segway where you just lean your body to control it - which is a lot easier that it sounds! Standing on the Segway for all that time was no problem, because you are having so much fun. Besides, it's much easier on your legs than all of the walking required in DC! It was a breezy winter day and our group got really cold especially ears and hands, so I would recommend bundling up extra for the ride. Using the Segway with gloves is no problem, although taking pictures with gloves is another whole issue! The Segways have a little pack on the front for you to put your camera, etc. in, which was very convenient. One unexpected aspect was that you become a sight for other sightseeers - everyone looks at you and some take pictures of you. But that just added to the fun. I would highly recommend this activity and I am planning to do a Segway tour in any other city I visit that offers one!

My husband and I were visiting DC for our honeymoon and decided to take the Segway Tour. We were the only two on the tour that day and it was great. It was January so a little cold, but not cold enough to take away from the fun. Karen was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable. My husband and I would recommend this tour to anyone and we now want to visit other cities and see them by Segway.

I enjoyed this tour of the National Mall on a Segway, especially as our guide understood we were there to have fun riding the machines as much as to hear about the buildings and notable sights. The team did a good job orienting us to the Segways and making sure we were comfortable before setting off on the ride. Overall, it was a great experience and one I'd recommend to locals and tourists alike.
