Capital Segway

it was great fun getting to ride the Segway. The tour was seconday to the riding experience but the guide was very good both from a technical and tour guide perspective.

My wife and I wanted to doing something fun and different for her mom and step father while they were in town for vacation. I saw the video of the Caps taking a tour with Capital Segway and thought, I need to try that out. Finally after months of talking we decided to do it. Will and Adam (our tour guides) were great and fun. They did a great job providing the history behind the buildings and monuments in DC. None of us had ever been on a Segway before and so some of us were a little nervous. After a shakey start all of us were up and rolling. The tour lasted about 2 hours and provided plenty of time for cruising. I am glad we finally did it and would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn a little history and get a chance to ride a Segway. It was worth the money and we had a blast. The in-laws are already talking about doing again the next time they are in town.

Segway tour was so much fun and made sightseeing of DC even more enjoyable! Excellent tour guide and a great day out.

so much fun riding the segways! pretty free range and time to play with them as well as seeing all the basic sights in dc as well as interesting less popular sites and information beyond textbook history and fact bulletin. Guides were funny and nice. Would definitely do this in another town.

We four young(ish) grandparents had a wonderful tour with Jordan and Tyler. The early, 9:30 Sunday morning tour was especialy great for us, as there were relatively few people about and we had the roads mostly to ourselves. The Segway was easy to learn and let us quikly get around to see many of the DC attractions. We had a lot of fun. Its well worth the price.

The segways are easy to use and safe. The tour was 2 hours but seemed like much less. The guides were funny and friendly. I enjoyed every minute of it and look forward to doing it again. The price was a little high and I would do it more often if it were a little more reasonable.

Instructors and guide were great and the Segway is really fun to operate. I even want to get one for myself one of these days....I would recommend to anyone a chance to take the tour--it was a blast! GT

This is our second Segway Tour and our son's first. Scott was the guide and did a terrific job. We had so much fun. Would recommend this to anyone.

Adam was our guide and if I had not received this e-mail request I would have e-mailed anyway when we got home because it was such a memorable experience. First, Adam gave each of us terrific confidence right off and made the whole thing fun. He was very cognicant of where the shade was, sharing the city history with us, I could go on and on but he was as enjoyable as the segway experience itself which we are still talking about 4 days later. Segways offer an amazing sensation of locomotion--nothing like it! I was nervous at first but got the hang of it and really enjoyed it. The guide was kind and supportive through my initial fear--he was terrific. My teenage nephew thinks that I am the coolest aunt, for this experience. One caution: Be aware that Segways aren't permitted on Park Service territory, so you won't be seeing the monuments up close. However, the tour does cover a lot of ground, including Capitol Hill, and it is well worth it!

We had 2 17 year olds, a 16 year old and 2 parents and everyone just loved this tour. My kids have been to DC before and really didn't want to walk around the Mall again, but we were showing our Brazilian exchange student the city, so zipping around on the Segway was the perfect way to go. The machines are ridiculously easy to use, suitable for any age really, even older folks. The Capital Segway guys did a nice job with the instructions and the practice and gave a good, fun tour around the Mall. Too bad we couldn't go all the way down to the Lincoln Memorial, but the tour description clearly indicated where we would go, so we weren't disappointed. BTW, it poured rain on us, and that didn't make it any less fun. My daughter says "it was sick, even in the rain." (that's very good).

My 5 friends and I loved the segway tour. The tour guys were excellent and answered all questions about both the segways and DC. The only thing wrong with the experience was that you had to return the machines after only 2 hours.

The segway tour of Washington, D.C. was an amazing experience. It was the first time my friend and I had been on a segway, which is a unique and fun way of seeing the city in 2 hours - we covered a lot of ground! Our tour guide Antonio was a good instructor and very patient as we learned to maneuver around on the machine. He was a very knowledgable guide, giving us great details on the monuments and sights, while also adding humor. He also encouraged us to enjoy the segway in open spaces. I highly recommend this in D.C., or any other city where you can find Capital Segway.
