Capital Segway

The tour and the guide were excellent. Plenty of time to familiarize yourself with the Segway before the tour. Highly recommend!

This was a great tour!1 I would not choose any other tour of the National Mall. After a short introductory video and a few minutes getting used to riding the segway you are on your way. It is very easy to maneuver and no one in my group had an issue with it (except me of course! lol. I did jump of a couple times)!! The tour guide was awesome and very knowledgeable of the area and its history. You will learn some interesting things, not just basic watered down facts. If you are not a history buff, it doesn't matter, because its so interesting and fun!! You will have more than enough time to stop and take photos if you choose. If you're looking for an up close and personal tour that is more fun than sitting on a bus THIS IS IT!! Be sure to wear sneakers, you're feet will get a work out like never before :)

This was a great tour, helped - in no small part - by there being only three of us: me, my son, and our tour guide. We received very good training on operating the Segway, and our guide was very knowledgeable (and interesting) about the monuments and buildings we were seeing. And the Segways were a hoot to ride. After the tour was done, I didn't want to walk anymore...ever! Great experience.

I enjoyed the tour more then any other part of my Vacation, Nick the guide was a smart, knowledgable, and kind person. He made it the BEST!

We had a great time on this tour! We were a little nervous to ride the segways, but we picked it up in no time and had so much fun. The tour guides were great and we are recommending this to all of our friends.

I am as about uncoordinated as they come and I had a great time. It was great seeing things from the street and the sidewalk. Recommend for anyone who can stand for two hours.

The tour guides were great and the Segway's were easy to use after a brief training session. We had a blast!!

Would take every day, if I could. Oughta be 3 hours with a lunch break for 30 minutes. Is really a ball. Beats the hell out of walking around and fighting crowds. Would buy a Segway if it could actually groceries and such. All in all, a good time was had by all.

Nick was our tour guide. Nick was the best tour guide we had while in Washington D.C. over the Labor Day weekend. Our tour was at 9:30 p,m. and Nick was excellent, very energetic, very knowledgeable, humerous, and went above and beyond to make the tour fun and informative. It was definitely the best event of our trip and if it had not rained the next day we would have asked for Nick to take us on another tour to different locations. Nick deserves a pay raise or bonus. :) Nobody should miss this tour unless you are dangerous on a segway; they really are easy to ride. However, do not do a "Captain Morgan" or you will fall down ungracefully. Nick can explain what is a "Captain Morgan." :) Nevertheless, it gave the three boys something to harass their father about upon returning home.

We had never ridden Segways before, but the staff did an excellent job of training us, and everyone else in the group. They took the time to make sure everyone was ready for the tour and felt confident on their machine before we set out. During the tour, they went out of their way to make sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable experience. They were happy to take photos for us. The headsets were a real plus. We enjoyed the narrative during the tour. Even though we have lived in the DC area for over 10 years, and seen the Monuments many times, I learned many new things.

I agree with some of the other reviews I read before booking the tour -- it's kitchy, it's goofy, and yes, it was a LOT of fun. My 16 y.o. daughter and I booked for a morning together, and we joined a Saturday morning tour of about 10 people in all. Even with limited athletic ability, we had no trouble quickly getting comfortable with the Segways, and the pace of the tour allowed for some easy ramp up time. The headsets are excellent; our group could spread out somewhat but we missed none of the narrative content. Even though we are born-and-raised locals, there were still sights and facts that we saw or learned for the first time. Our guides (2 to the tour) were upbeat, supportive, friendly, humorous, and had many surprisingly interesting comments (about 90% of which I think were factually accurate, but hey, it's a Segway tour!). The Segways themselves were truly a blast, and by the end of the 2+ hour tour, I really wished we had more time to tool around the city. Highly recommended! If you like to do things sometimes just for the sake of experiencing something out of the ordinary, this is a can't miss! When I see people on Segways in the future, sure, I'll still point and laugh, but now, inside, I'll also be a little envious...

Great way to see DC! The tour and guides were excellent...only be prepared that riding a segway is slightly more physical than you might think!
