Easy to learn, easy to ride, and incredibly fun. Views of buildings you can't get from a tour bus and great tour leaders.

Lots of fun - good overview of the city. Segway includes safety features.

What a great way to tour the major monuments and buildings around the Mall, in a fraction of the time it takes to walk, enjoying the oohs and aahs of mere pedestrians sweating in the heat as you create your own breeze, gliding by effortlessly on your Segway as though you had always known how to ride one. Really folks, it's easy, and the tour guides at Capitol Segway are very attentive to your needs, and very well informed, and entertaining, about the sights along the tour. While the tour buses park at the bottom of Capitol Hill, and their passengers climb up several flights of stairs to the fountain at the base of the Captiol, you just glide up the sidewalk in a matter of seconds, and zip around the fountain area taking pictures, enjoying the view across the reflecting pool toward the Washington Monument. If you're really lucky, like we were, we saw Marine One, the President's helicopter, cross between us and the Monument, for a landing at the White House. Don't pass up an opportunity to try this very personalized type of tour, while you enjoy coasting along on a powerful Segway that moves merely by "thinking" about moving.

Oh my gosh! I had read lots of reviews that really built up this Segway tour, so we weren't sure if it could really be all that good. BUT...it definitely was! Our guides, Aaron and Nick, helped everyone learn the basics of the Segway in the safe confines of their store, then we ventured to a small park across the street for some "real" practice. Even the people who were a little hesitant (like my wife) were like pros within just a few minutes...then off we went. WOW! How fun! Sure, we got to see some of the great sights in DC, and Aaron and Nick know a lot about the history of DC, but the best part was the riding around on these fantastic machines. You really feel like you're gliding through the streets and sidewalks, and you cover so much ground in this two-hour tour. Only one small negative...one of the guides, Nick, didn't seem to have as much "customer service" training as Aaron did. Aaron always made us feel comfortable and made sure we were having fun. Nick seemed to act a little more like it was just a job to him. But, please take that as a very minor glitch in what was otherwise a fantastic experience. Can't say enough great things about this. We didn't want to stop! Do it! We would definitely do this again.

Segways are easy to ride, safe and more fun than anything else on wheels. The tour is just long enough to be interesting without becoming tiring. The tour guide is friendly, informative and very helpful for those few riders who may be a bit unsure of themselves in the beginning. There is nothing not to love about touring the DC sites on a Segway. My wife and daughter, who claim that the gene for coordination is missing in their family, were riding like pros in a couple of minutes. We all felt like kids again.

This by far was the highlight of my visit to DC. The segways were easy to learn and a blast to ride. The guides were knowledgeable and very helpful along the tour. What a leisurely way to see some of the national mall. It sure beats walking! Only wish the tour was longer and got to see the whole mall end to end...but that's just me. Maybe I'll do that when I buy my own Segway. Take this tour. Highly recommended.

We had a great time. Tour is OK, but it's really about riding the segways. DC makes a nice backdrop for the ride.

the segway tour was great. At first was a little nervous to ride the segway but after 5 minutes felt very comfortable. The tour guide knew much information and we had a great time. Would recommend it to everyone and would love to do it again!

We decided to go on this tour after looking at several options. We decided to go for something different and we weren't disappointed! The guides were very informative, and took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable before heading out on the tour. The Segway's were easy to learn, and a fun way to tour around the mall. We went on the first tour of the day, and it helped us to decide what we wanted to see more of! We have told everyone to try the Capital Segway Tours if they get the opportunity...you should try it too!

I have lived in the DC area my whole life, and have periodically trudged around this fascinating (though VAST) city over the past 19 years, but never have I seen DC like this. The tour took us past numerous landmarks, including both the White House and the Capital, which on foot take an exasperatingly long time to walk between, and gave everyone the opportunity to see more in less time. The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the landmarks and were very helpful in answering everyone's questions, as well as in providing interesting commentary about each building. I found that seeing the sights becomes much more meaningful when given a context in which to take them. It was an enjoyable experience even for a native like myself. Additionally, the segways are both a lot of fun and easy to use. They require no physical exertion, which is something I welcomed with open arms; you essentially need only to think about going forward or backward and you begin moving in the desired direction. I would recommend doing an evening or nighttime tour. The summer heat tends to be more bearable later in the day (or else early in the morning), and the buildings are lit up at night which is an added bonus! Highly recommended!

Can't think of a better way to get to "see" alot of D.C. Just remember you don't see most of the monuments due to National Park service restrictions. After touring on one of these, everyone in the group wanted to buy one! You receive excellent training and the learning curve is rapid on a Segway.

Due to emergency I was unable to take the tour

Because your fee is non refundable and I had to reschedule my return trip to LA from the NEA convention to Sunday Morning, I was not able to use the ticket. I would like some of my money back because my situation may very well have enabled you to book a last minute rider and you did not lose as much as I did. Thanks, Robert Rivers

This tour mostly made me want to buy my own Segway

I was totally distracted for the actual tour because the Segway itself was so much fun but i didnt mind not paying attention. If i had actually been interested in the tour aspect i know i couldve learned a lot about the city so for people who have never been to DC they could definitly get the full experience. I really liked that you could see so much of the city in such a short amount of time. Basically I had a great time!
