Capital Segway

My teenage son and I loved it! The Segways are a blast and easy to ride. The guides were just the right amount of info--they knew that the highlight was the Segway riding and they didn't keep us still too long. No long list of rules, etc. that we expected to get. Of course if you really were interested in what they told you, they were knowledgeable and pleasant about telling you what you wanted to know. We didn't want to get off! Wish it was longer. Wanted to take one home!

This was the high point of our visit to washington d.c.

Noah was thte guide and he did a great job. All went very well and we will recommend this to all our friends.

I hate walking and the segway tour allowed me my wife and my son to cover a large area of downtown DC and not get tired. I was wondering if you have different tour areas of DC?

Trainers were excellent; Tour was interesting; Able to cover much more ground with more fun than a standard tour. Perfect for 16 - 20 year old tourists, who don't want to "ride the bus"

We all liked the tour on the Segways... even the teenager! We will recommend this to others.

We absolutely loved riding around. The machines took only a minute or two to get used to, otherwise they were very easy to control and reeeeeeally enjoyable! We didn't want to get off those things and could have kept going forever!! The tour guides were nice and laid back also. Highly recommend this!!

We loved our Segway Tour! It was such a great thing to do on a hot day when walking was almost painful. Noah and Nick were so much fun and we enjoyed their different take on the regular tourist spots. I never knew that Abraham Lincoln had to answer the door himself! What amazed me most is that almost everyone we encountered while zipping along expressed interest, and envy, in travel by Segway. You really need to advertise more - I can't imagine anyone NOT wanting to do this! Learning was quick and easy, and we were cruising like experts in no time. We are looking forward to our next trip to D.C. which will of course include Segways, and we are telling everyone in Houston how cool it was.

Second time we have done. And we have a handicapped person with an artificial leg so they really love the mobility of seeing the "sights". Did it last winter and brough 4 more of our family back to do it again. Will be a regular part of our DC trips from now on.

First time on a Segway for my wife and myself -- absolutely the most amazing experience! We both learned how to use the Segway within 2 minutes and felt comfortable within 5 minutes! By the time the tour actually left the store we were zipping and zooming with incredible precision, guiding the Segway between security posts in front of the White House with only inches to spare on either side. Our kids (8-year-old twins) loved riding together in the "Segshaw" behind the guide, handing out flyers to curious passers-by. Our guide, Steve, was patient with all four of us, and served as a great guide to the City. Next time we're in DC (or anyplace with a Segway tour), we are definitely signing up again! GREAT experience for the family.

My husband, adult children and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The guide (Will) was informative and knew some interesting and unusual details about the different sites. He majored in history and his knowledge was evident in the delivery of the information. The Segways are easy to manuever and tremendous fun. Be cautious though, one gal flipped off rounding a corner to quickly.

Guides made sure that everyone was comfortable riding the segway before we departed. The main guide was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. A second guide trailed the group to make sure that everyone was together and to help when someone had an issue. My teens had a blast!

This tour is a great and fun way for first timers to become familiar with the monuments and buildings of the national mall. Don't expect a lot of historical details. Plan the tour for the first day and decide what to focus on during days following the tour.

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of DC on a segway. I was amazed at how quickly one adapts to riding it--it's so easy. The only problem I encountered was getting off of it--with practice, I'm sure that won't be a problem. I've already recommended this event to others. I'd do it again without reservations!
