Capital Segway

This was my 2nd time taking the segway tour. It is such a great time. My mom came from out of town and was a little anxious. Once she was on the segway, you could see how much fun she was having. She described her experience as "the most fun she's ever had". I recommend this tour and will take it again...hopefully soon.

What an experience! We had a group of 13 that never had driven Segways. It was really easy to use and manuver around the city. Minor scrapes by a few (we definitely expected more), but the experience was loved by all of us! Would absolutely do it again.

Had a great time. It was so much fun maneuvering the segway through the streets of DC. Even though all of the hazards of segway riding were pointed out prior to the tour, I would recommend that they include warning everyone that the distance between some of the security barriers on Pennsylvania Ave will not allow a segway to pass through. One of our members went between two barriers that were closer together than would allow a segway to pass through. She, of course, went flying off. But, even though we had a few falls, everyone agreed that it was lots of fun!

This was really just one of the greatest events I've been a part of! I would recommend it to everyone!!!

We got there late but were still welcomed. The two guides never lost their aplomb even though we ran into (almost literally) typical sidewalk denizens and red carpet celebrities (actually, newspeople dressed in tuxes). The tour started at 6:30--a perfect time to catch the fading light of this glorious city and avoid the day time crowded sidewalks. The guides' knowledge was fairly correct and had enough fun trivia to engage everyone's interest. The machines were in very good working order and very easy to adapt to. I would recommend this tour to everyone. As one of my daughter's said: "Who cares where we are--we're riding Segways!" But, we all decided that riding a Segway in DC was a near perfect experience.

What a great way to see the sights in a short period of time... The Segway was the best way I could have seen the sights while getting to spin heads as you ride by on lookers... After a round trip cab ride, I spent about a hundred bucks... It was worth more!

I have been thinking about buying a Segway, and wanted more time on one. I chose the tour, although living in Washington for many years, I really didn't need it. But the guide was fine, he had some interesting points to make, and I got to spend two hours riding around. I have some neuromuscular problems and haven't moved as quickly or effortlessly as I did. It was great fun. I did goof and took a fall, but it was my error. The segway is wonderful.

The Segway tour of Washington DC was a lot of fun, even on a cool and blustery day. After a few minutes of getting used to the Segways, we were on our way. Our guide was knowledgable and gracious. People on the sidewalks stopped and smiled at us. We stopped for a few pictures outside the White House and I wondered if the President was looking out the window at us -- "George Bush wishes he was having this much fun!"

Our group of 3 men and 3 women, ages 40 to 70, had a great time on the Segway - a fun group activity. It took ten minutes or so for each of us to get our Segway legs, after which we felt comfortable making quick turns, moving forward and stopping, getting off and on. We started at 6:30 and by 7pm it was dark and we had our flashing battery operated lights going. DC at night was spectacular - took many pictures. A plus for touring at that time was very few walking tourist. Our guide did an excellent job in both instructing us in safely operating the Segway and giving information about the various places of interest on the tour. We traveled to DC from Calif. on business, but the Segway was the highlight of our visit.

A great experience. The only down side was that it was not long enough. Touring in a great city like Washington DC certainly added to the experience but the Segway itself was fun and exciting. What a great piece of equipment. The instructor/guides were were helpful. Although the young man was a little mechanical with the guide portion. Our immediate reponce once the time was up was "lets do this again"

the leaders were exceptiional, very knowledgable, fun, and enthusiastic.

It is geat fun and a great way to see the City.

This was great fun and so easy to learn. My 16-year-old son and myself enjoyed this together. This was a highlight to the trip. We were able to see so much of the city that I know we would have missed otherwise. For us, the segway tour beat any of the bus tours because WE were driving. For a 16 year old who has been on enough school trips that the mention of bus ride gets a moan, this was the perfect way to see the city. The tour guides were knowledgeable as well as personable. It was well worth the money!! We will definitely do this again!
