Capital Segway

Riding the segway through DC was amazing, very fun! There were a few bumbs along the way however. Some people did fall and others did not have enough time to get use to the Segway. If there were any points to hinder the tour of DC it would be: 1. To have more time practicing with the machine (segway) before going on tour. 2. To have more time to look at things, it was less of a tour and more of a riding experience. Other than this, the tour was great. The two tour guides were great at helping others and directing us. Very friendly and compasionate group. By the end of the tour I would say everyone was use to the machines and had fun on them, minus a few cases of falling and such. Overall experience was good, leaves you wanting more.

My 16 year son was in for his week long visit with me in the DC area. For those of who don't know - it's very hard to please a 16 year old when you're with them. Well this was it! Neither of us had ever tried one before. My inner ears were burnt out so my balance is almost zero. Neither of us had any problems adjusting and within minutes we were racing each other around the park. The guides were absolutely wonderfull too. I enjoyed their knowledge of the area and availability to answer all questions. They made sure that no one felt "dumb" learning to ride either. A total of 15 of us went on the tour and I for one can see myself purchasing one of these in the near future. What a blast - and same price (if not cheaper) than the old bus tours around the area. Ages ranged from 16 - about 63 years old. Plan accordingly because there is a NO CANCELLATION policy in effect which means even if it rains - you go!

I cannot think of a better way to spend a couple of hours seeing the historic sights of D.C. than while riding a Segway. It's easy -- it's great fun -- and I plan on doing it again.

Only problem is that my son now wants us to purchase a Segway.

I have to admit, I was a big skeptical when my teen son began BEGGING to take this tour. I thought "no way am I going to be able to maneuver a Segway". The Tour Guide assured me that the Segway was super easy to operate and I'd have no problem. Much to my surprise, he was absolutely right! The weather was absolutely beautiful and the tour was awesome. Zipping around Washington, DC on a Segway was so much fun! I am so glad my son convinced me to give it a try - I definately recommend it to all!

The unique venue of this tour was what lured me to it. I found the staff knowledgeable and pleasant. We were able to go to the big attractions (most) some from a far and some close up. Riding up to the Capital's fronts steps was great! I think the photo op times were a bit short, but abundant. Thank you Maryan and Josh for a wonderful time. caren

Good weather, though a bit cold (March) so you might want to wear gloves on a cooler day (our guide had a few pair to loan out). We really enjoyed our guide. Noel was fun and informative and keep a close eye on everyone. We only went as fast as the slowest of our group. I think it was just right for everyone. There were 8 in the group and ages ranged from 21 to 70+. Everyone seemed to have a really fun time. It was a great way to see so much in a short couple of hours. We'll definitely do this again!

This was a brithday celebration, and it was one of the most memorable experiences ever. We not only had a great experience, but we became part of the "sights" for the tourists visiting D.C. We have told everyone we have met in the last few days about how great the tour was. We plan to take the tour again when family and friends visit.

We were a group of four adults, two of the group were visiting from out of town. We've done lots of tours when we have guests but this was the absolute most fun! The rental of the segway was worth the money alone. For anyone who has not ridden a segway this is an experience of a lifetime. Mary Anne did a great job teaching us how to use the vehicle and was very informative at all the tourist sights. I can't wait for my next visitors for another tour!!!!

Riding the segway is more fun than taking the tour. Activity would have been equally fun no matter what we were touring.

Our guide was kind, knowledgeable, patient and fun. We learned lots of things my lives-in-DC sibling didn't even know. We definately had lots of "hey, look at that" or "I want to try that" from folks we passed by. My 16 year old son identified this activity as the highlight of our week-long DC trip. I agree with another reviewer that 2 hours is a good timeframe. It was fun-fun-fun but after 2 hours of standing I was beginning to get stiff.

Noah was an incredible tourguide--there were some obnoxious idiots on our tour, and he handled them perfectly. I can't tell you how much fun my friend and I had--we told all of our friends to sign up! THANK YOU!

We had a great time. The segways are SOOOO much fun and the staff was very helpful. The tour was less than two hours though, which left me a little disappointed. Nonetheless I would recommend this tour to anyone.
