Capital Segway

Segway was a great way to get to see the major monuments and attractions around the Mall, without having to spend all your energy walking everywhere. The tour could have been improved by the tour guide speaking more slowly so that we could understand what he was saying. We could only hear about 50% of what he said. There needed to be more consideration of people who were going slower on the Segways.

You'll see most DC memorials, parcs, fountains and buildings in a flash! Go in a group, all dressed alike, might be even more fun. We were in a combination group of 7, ages between 19 and 65 formed by Capitol upon made reservations. It was so easy to learn to ride the Segway, as they explain, don't think about it, do it! In the tour, there is time to stop and to make photos, not to climb or circle a memorial. Within half an hour you'd wish Segway's hadn't been speed limmited. If you have the time, go out and do it! I for sure want to ride again.

I had to convince the other members of group to go on the segway tour. Once they started, they were convinced we made a good choice for the evening and look forward to going on the tour again. We really enjoyed our two guides - one was named Nick - I don't remember the other one's name. We'll take the tour again when we are in Washington!

We had the best time! Our guides were very knowledgeable, but more importantly they were FUN! I highly recommend the tour!

This is a "MUST DO" activity. This is the second time we have rented Segways. It was really nice to have the audio system to be able to listen to the guide as we toured the city. We did not have these on our first outing in another city. Our guides were top notch. Absolutely fabulous experience!

What a perfect way to tour DC. That was one of our highlights of our trip. Once you do it, you will want to do it again and again. The tour guides were excellent and oh yeah did I mention how much fun it was!!! Hats off to Capital Segway.

We had such an amazing experience with this Segway tour and would highly recommend to anyone. It's such a great way to see a lot of sights in a short amount of time. It was so fun.

Within 3 blocks riding was almost intuitive.

My husband and I were celebrating his 50th when in DC and decided to see the sights via segway. Although it was incredibly hot & humid and there were warnings for heat stroke, we still enjoyed riding around the city in this style. It was easy & quick to learn and neither of us had ever been on a segway. The tour guide was engaging and informative. I did think we lingered too long at a few sights and had to indicate I was ready to move on. If this were not the case, I think we could have seen a couple more sights. I had made notes in our reservation and also reconfirmed via phone that we were there to celebrate the BIG 50, but no one acknowledged this - that was disappointing. A simply "hapy birthday" would have been cool. other than that, it was fun!

My son and I had the most fun touring on the Segway rider. The guide was excellant and gave us great information about the sites at Washington DC as well as some useful information that made our visit even more special. We highly recommend it for the family as the first thing to do. This was the highlight of our visit.

I was with a group of friends. We were all from the area and we were looking forward to riding the Segway and learning a few new facts about DC. The tour was great expecially as the sun set. Our only complaint was that the tour guide's side comments were very crude and offensive at times. (i.e. comments about the secret service and Clinton and many others) It would have been better to stick to the facts and avoid the sarcastic comments. I ended up pulling the earpiece out of my ear and just enjoyed the scenery. Otherwise, loved it. Can't wait to do it with my family.

I was petrified to ride the segway, but determined because I am turning 50 this year! Had no idea how fun it would be and how cool it is to take a tour this way. You have a small device around your neck with an earphone so you can hear everything the tour guide has to say without being close to him! I recommend ANDY as your tour guide, as he is just about the funniest smart guy I know! Can't wait to take my kids! Best tour ever!

Really enjoyed the Segway tour. Much easier to operate than I thought it would be. Highly recommend.

Just cruzing around on the Segway was enough for the kids, but to get a tour of DC to boot! that was well worth the money! Guide Tyler was awesome and we had a great time. He also volunteered many times to take photos of us at several choice spots. Picture perfect!

Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and a great sense of humor as well. We're very patient with the needs of all everyone in the group. I would recommend this tour to every age group....one of the highlights of our vacation.
