Capital Segway

After a short orientation to the segway, we headed out for some hands on practice. I was a little anxious about the adventure, but it was easier than I had thought. We had a great guide in Chris and the earphone made the ride easier to maneuver because he could talk to us as we were wheeling along streets and sidwalks guiding us to avoid dangers or preparing us for upcoming maneuvers. I recommend this tour 100%.

The whole experience was excellent. The company was easy to deal with. We got there 40 minutes early and got a quick tutorial on the Segway before the official training. No surprises. Easy to learn. The Segways were fun. The tour was a good overview of the main sites around the Capital. 2 hours was a good length. The tour guides kept control while seeming to be flexible and easy o get along with. No issues. No negatives. Good value. i would do it again without question.

My wife and I live in Maryland, about a 45 minute trip into downtown DC. We don't go into DC a lot, so we thought it was finally time to take a tour. The idea of riding a Segway had always fascinated us, so decided this was the most exciting way to tour the city. Well, we had the time of our lives!!. We got to see the outside of many of the major attractions, stopped at the Nat'l Mall for 20 minutes for a hot dog and rest before finishing the tour. Riding the Segway was a lot easier than I thought. A 5-10 minute instruction by the tour group was more than adequate. After 10 minutes riding it, it's already second nature; very intuitive. The tour guides (2) give you the tour information using individual ear plugs during the 2 hour tour. Sound quality is just OK, but who cares because riding those Segways is a absolute blast!!!

My son and I really enjoyed the activity and found the information great! The staff were knowledgable and friendly. Directions to get there were good and it was easy to find. Would highly recommend this.

I've been a visitor and now a resident of the area. Over the past few months I've been on a number of tours around town with family and friends. The Segway was the MOST fun I've had on any of these tours! Luckily, my friend and I had the tour guide (Max) all to ourselves, so the three of us could really get the most of our time, and keep moving without delay.

This tour was awesome. The 2 guides were very charismatic and helpful. They take you on a very long tour that covers a large portion of dc with breaks for site seeing and will take photos for you. Would do again just because of how much fun it was. Went on the late evening tour and it took about 2 and a half hours, but was definitely worth it.

Wish the tour was longer and included the memorials.

We were a small group of six on this tour and the guide was knowledgeable and fun. We tried the Segway first in their location and then in the park before breezing off through town. Mastering it was not so difficult and it felt absolutely fabulous driving down Connecticut Ave. on the bike lane in the middle of the street. We saw groups of other companies that were larger and I realized that their Segways didn't have any containers like ours. I put in my camera and my purse and I always had my camera ready without carrying it in my hand all the time. Taking along a water bottle is also a good idea. Be sure to wear comfy and cushiony shoes because your feet will be in the same position throughout the ride and you can't shift the weight like you do when walking and standing. Also wear sun screen after all on the back of your neck. That part was very exposed. This tour is definitely a must do!

This was really fun and it was very easy to control. Really enjoyed the whole session. The guide was very friendly. informative about the sights and was happy to take photos. Highly recommended

Highlight of our week in DC!

We had just enough demonstration/training before we went out; we weren't bored or under-confident of our skills. The tour guides were great! We rode by many big tourist attractions with just enough stopping for pictures and rest on our hot/humid morning. But, let's face it. - It was really about the RIDE!! The equipment was very well taken-care of. And the handlers knew their business: Nobody went out unprepared and they were always available to answer questions and take pictures. A definite "do again!"

A quick and easy way to take in a beautiful city. We completed our tour at dusk, a great time see DC.

Capital Segway was great. Wife and I and granddaughter took the city tour. Andy was great. Very informative and amusing. These guys are great.

This was the most amazing way to get around Washington quickly without missing anything. We were able to move around and about easily, but we still had a walking tour experience. The guides were great. Really. They were fun and energetic and full of interesting knowledge and trivia. We had plenty of time to stop and take photos, some of which the guides took for us. If I owned a segway, I'd never walk again! Seriously, you should do this tour. It is worth it!
