Capital Segway

Riding a segway is every bit as fun and intuitive as people say. And, it is so much better than hiking from memorial to memorial and coming home exhausted. The earpiece for the guided tour keeps things interesting.

I felt the tour was great with lots of good information given by the tour guides. Having taken other segway tours I think a little more training would be helpful for new riders to segway. More attention on going downhill and being able to control their speed.

Had a blast on the segways. Not only do you get to see the sites, but it's a more comfortable experience on a hot day with the wind in your hair as you zip around the city. We would definitely do it again. Tons of fun!

By far the best way to see DC. Our tour guide Andy was great. He was very knowledgable about the city and answered all our questions. He was patient and encouraging about using a segway.

What an enjoyable way to get oriented to Washington. Besides, the Segways are fun, convenient, and efficient. Our tour giude was good, but not great. We would recommend the overall Segway tour experience to anyone.

Segways were a ton of run, easy to get the hang of and got to see everything. Beats walking around DC for hours upon hours! Tour guides were great, they really knew all the juicy details of the DC area and also took pictures of you if you needed a good picture snapped with your phone. I would do this again, worth every penny.

This one thing should not be missed by anyone in their life..not only in DC but anywhere...Seagway is revolutionary way for smart and eco-friendly single travel option. Coming to capital seagway, the tour was excellant...and very informative thanks to the our tour instructor Jimmy. He took us to all imp places around DC commenting on way about all the crucial facts about those historic areas. Very friendly people with great planned tour of 2 hour was excellant. Would give high 5 and all thubms up..!! Just go with it.

The Segway tour is a great way to see the sights in Washington in a limited amount of time. No need to do a lot of walking and sightseeing is literally a breeze :)

This was my first time in D.C. and wanted to see as much as possible. This was a condensed version and for the time spent worth it. If I may offer some suggestions: The guide needs to speak louder so even though we have an ear piece, the traffic drowns out what is being said most of the time. While the tour is being conducted, I would have liked to have been able to ask questions as we were moving along. Having a group of people made it a little difficult though I was able to ask the questions when I was next to the guide. However, the members of the group were unable to hear my question and the response. Isn't there a system available where we too could have communicated with the guide as he did us, like a two way system? This would have more of an educational tour than a scenic tour and that is what I felt this was. Could not quite hear the names of all the buildings we were passing and what they were about. The tour gave me a sense of what the city was about, but I wanted to have heard alot better. I loved the segway and the fact I did not have to do alot of walking. This eaily caters to the aging tourist. Also this was supposed to be a 2 hour tour and I noticed we did come back about 25 minutes early even though we had a 15 minute break while touring.

really really helpful support staff and excellent stories while going around the monuments. Won't miss it if I visited DC again!

The Segway was easy to learn/ride. Tour guides were funny and informative. A great and memorable experience.

My wife, I and our two teenage sons took part in a Capital Segway tour on April 25, 2012. It was exhilarating and educational fun. Segways are easy to navigate. Our tour guides (Tyler and Andrew) were interesting, protective, knowledgeable and engaging. What an easy way to absorb American History. We saw parks, monuments, the Capitol Building, the White House and much more as we Segwayed along Pennsylvania Avenue. All in all, it was just plain fun. Two hours passed in a flash. Our greatest disappointment was the Tour's end. I would highly recommend the Segway Tour for singles, couples or families.
