Capital Segway

Very well organised with good pre-tour instruction on how to drive a segway. Our tour guide was excellent - great fun and very knowledgeable. This is definitely the best way to see the sights of DC

Awesome tour, guide, experience!

We never stood on a segway, yet from the first minutes we felt confident and secure in handling the machine. After a brief introduction we had the opportunity to practice in the park opposite to the office. Then we took off for the tour. Our guide did a wonderful job in keeping us informed and entertained via a wireless communication device. Overall this was a wonderful experience for us thanks to a great tour guide, smooth operating machines and beautiful spring weather.

Segway riding has enough fun by itself; on the top of that, Tour Guide Justin is very sensitive to individual tourist's need, and is very responsible for everyone's safety. He is quick in action, flexible in handling dynamics, and humorous in introducing the buildings along the route. I will definitely do this again next time I visit DC!

Have to admit that after watching the video, prior to starting, I was ready to head out the door!!!! The safety features, the stick figures hitting the sidewalk, was enough to make me chicken out!!! But I took a deep breath and thought if my sister and daughter-in-law can do this so can I!! I had a blast and cannot wait to go again with my husband. I am a clutz so was so worried that I could not operate the machine that I almost missed out on a great day. The guides were amazing and so helpful. I felt like a pro before we left the park area and was able to do spins and sharp turns. My suggestion to you, given to me by one of the guides, is not to grip with your feet but to use your legs and move back and forth. We covered over five miles on the segways and I know I could not do that on my two feet!! I never felt in danger or out of control and always knew that if I needed help the guys would be there. One thing that we were not told nor was it in their ad was that the segway does have a saddleback thing on it that you can place things in-wallets, umbrellas, keys whatever you need to stow and take with you. Our tour started at 1000 and was a bit breezy but other than that was perfect. I was on top of the world when we finished and so proud that I had not fallen!!! So don't let your fears overide a great day. Go for it and have fun!!!!!

What a perfect way to tour DC. Our guides provided an excellent, in-store training sessions to use the Segways before we embarked on the 2 hour tour. The introduction to the Segway enabled all 11 of our group to safely ride in the sidewalks and bike lanes of the city. The tour was delivered through our headsets. The two guides were informative, funny, and kept a close watch for our safety. We will definitely book another tour with Capital Segway. Five star rating.

We had four people in our family go on the Tour with two of our group never having been on Segways. Couldn't have been any better with the radio transmitted audio tour and the great Capital Segway experience. These are super people who really understand how to make it fun and informative and the two hour time frame was perfect... what a kick to see other people pointing at you and wishing they were in your place! regards, The crew from Dallas Texas

A definite to-do while in DC. The highlight of my trip with my 16 year old son. And the Segway was so easy to ride.

We really enjoyed the tour. My parents are in their late 50s and a two hour walking tour would have been impossible for one of them. The Segways were a great solution. We had plenty of instruction and time to get used to the machines before we got out for the tour. The tour guide had a wry sense of humor that everyone enjoyed. We got to see all of the attractions from the White House to the Washington Memorial to the Capitol Building. Riding the Segways was almost more fun than seeing the sights! They were very easy to use and we had so much fun. I would reccomend this tour to anyone who has a group member with limited mobility but who can stand for a couple of hours. It made a huge difference in my parents enjoyment of their DC trip.

Our tour guide was excellent. She was a young lady who was studying theater locally and her voice and explanations of the sights we were seeing was clear, accurate, and interesting. She made the tour fun and exciting. The actual Segway itself was easy to ride, safe and a great way to get around. My daughter and I took the 2 hour tour that went by so quickly. I would recommend this sightseeing opportunity for anyone. Most of the major sights of DC were covered in this tour and facts, sometimes unusual and funny, were told in a relaxing manner

My wife and I really enjoyed the trip. The only drawback was if we were towards the end of the line, the radio sets were statically.
