Capital Segway

I did a night tour at the end of March. We were a few minutes late getting started since a few of the other people going on the tour were late. Started watching a video after 6:30, then went to the park to practice. I was thankful to have this practice because it took me just a short while to get used to the Segway. The Segways were LOTS of fun. Our tour guide, Jimmy, gave good and funny commentary. The headsets were nice to have. My main complaint is that we were back at the shop at 8:15, and I know that's only 15 minutes short of the scheduled time, but we were also late getting started! It's also a pricey tour, so I expected to have the full time. I also expected to see more of the monuments and less of the many museums. Overall it was a VERY fun tour, and I do recommend it.

Tour was entertaining, informative (even from a local perspective), and the Segways were a lot of fun. The tours are set up pretty well to take advantage of the group's mobility and the informal/fun-driven feel of the whole thing made this definitely worthwhile. Highly recommended.

I was very pleased with this tour. I have done a couple other segway tours in other cities and this one was very good. I liked the microphones used as I had the ability to hear the guide talk whether giving directions or explaining points of interests. Overall, very good.

The tour is great!

I never had ridden a Segway before and found it very easy to learn and very fun! This was a great way to cover a lot of ground and see the sights without getting sore feet! The tour guide led us at a comfortable pace and made interesting comments about each of the sights. I appreciated that he didn't talk the whole time -- just at each of the stops. Have already recommended this experience to friends.

A great experience. It was the first time for us to ride a Segway, and we got the hang of it very quickly. It's a great option for touring DC because you can navigate easily through pedestrian traffic and use streets or bike lanes if needed to speed things up. Jason, our tour guide, was excellent. One piece of advice: Our tour group did lose someone because she was too uncertain when first getting on the Segway and thought she might lose control or fall when we left the office. Give it a chance -- it's a little tricky when you first get on the Segway, but it soon becomes intuitive and you'll master it very quickly after some initial practice in the park nearby.

This was our first Segway tour in DC but our 3rd overall. We enjoyed the tour from the moment we arrived. Very fun tour guide that knew so much about the city and all of the buildings. Our group was fantastic and took group photos to share! Being on a Segway in DC for the Cherry Blossoms was amazing. The earbud sound system was fantastic and we could ride and listen at the same time! Very great feature that we had not had on previous tours. Thanks for a great tour!

This was a Birthday Celebration trip for three long-time friends. We choose Wash DC since it was centrally located and we had not visited there in years. Saw an ad in the AAA book for Capital Segway and booked our 2 hour tour. It was FABULOUS ! Our guide Karen was great and after 15 minutes on the Segway, you did not even think about what you needed to do to get around.. it just came naturally. This is a must do experience ! Thank you Capital Segway.

The guides were patient and explained how to use the Segway. It was easy to learn. Using the Segway was a fun way to get around the area - travelling 5-10 MPH and able to turn 360 degrees in just the space of the Segway. You got a radio with an earbud so you could easily hear the guide's commentary. The tour let me see many of the exciting sites in Washington in about 2 hours.

This was the best money spent on our combined trip to DC and NYC! Fun riding the segway and the guide was very informative and entertaining. We took the evening tour and had both daylight and the beauty of the lighted city. Can't recommend this activity highly enough.

We have been on several Segway Tours. This was by far the best! The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, safety conscious and there was a nice mix of history and fun. Thank you Jason for a great tour!

Highly recommended; i have a bad knee and this allowed us to see the entire mall with no pain. Our guide was very knowledgeable and curtious. i would reccomend this to anyone.
