Capital Segway

The Segway was easy to learn and maneuver. I gave it not much more attention than walking. My only problem was with getting on and off and that was mainly because I had sprained my ankle the day before. I was being overly cautious to its slight movement in getting on the Segway for fear of reinjury. When I injured my ankle I thought I would have to cancel the tour but iced and wrapped and went ahead with the tour. I really am glad I did. I felt no adverse effects from it. At the end of the 2 hours the most I felt was a discomfort in my calves from standing for the whole time. The scenic route was well thought out to use the most of bike lanes, park paths and streets that were not overly crowded. The knowledgable guide informed us about much along the route, some with detailed background, as well as answering our questions on buildings in between. We stopped at several picturesque spots along the way and we were never rushed to start again. I could never have seen this much of Wahsington DC on foot. I know I will be looking for other cities ideally set up to tour on a Segway. It was wonderful.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour on several levels. The Segways themselves were great fun, pretty easy to master and maneuver, and a great way to see much of the city center quickly without needing a bus or a car. The guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and encouraging. We learned quite a bit while out and about, enjoying the sights and narration along with the new experience of the Segway.

At first I was scared but the guide was great, and the instruction was brief. It's easy to get a hang of and then so much fun during the whole trip! This is something different we've never done before, and we've been telling people about it ever since!

A great way to see the city - not only do you get the benefit of the knowledgeable and funny guides telling you what's what, but you also get to have lots of fun zooting around the city. I highly recommend it!

Great fun !!! - we would highly recommend the Segway tour to anyone visiting Washington D.C. It is an excellent way to see the highlights of DC in a short time. The tour guides are fun and very knowledgeable.

The segways are easy to get comfortable on ... before you know it we were off to see the White House! On Saturday afternoon (of St. Patrick's Day) with warm weather, the streets were crowded and slowed us down a bit, but it was so much better than walking. Only wish we got to see more monuments. Guides were helpful...maybe now always historically accurate, but very sweet and helpful guys!

The tour was so much fun...and the segway is so much easier to use than I thought it would be! Know that your feet will hurt a bit after awhile - but not too much to dissuade you from doing this. Some of the info given by one of the guides was completely inaccurate; but, to me, this wasn't a huge deal. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this super-fun event!

We quickly got the hang of the segway and reallyenjoyed our tour especially at dusk with the illumination of the sights.

My 16-year-old daughter and I agree that the Capital Segway tour around DC is THE highlight of our two-week trip here. The segways were easy to get comfortable on and our tour guide was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, had great humor and was very in tune and patient with the needs of each segway driver. We loved the running commentary that we could hear so well through our ear pieces. It was a fun, fast and relaxing way to get a good overview of the lay of the land. We highly recomend the segway tour with Capital Segway.

We love Capital Segway. We live in the DC metro area and always recommend the segway tour to friends and family who come to visit. It is a great way to tour DC. I have used Capital Segway multiple times and have always been happy with my tour. The guides are knowledgeable about the area and always seem to enjoy their work. They are also patient with new riders (which is important for those that are nervous). I also recommend Capital Segway because they use headsets to talk during the tour instead of yelling to the group. They also keep the tour groups small which I like. I highly recommend Capital Segway.
