Capital Segway

I really love it. To me, there is only one mistake, which was not going to Lincoln Memorial. Rest of it was awesome.

Segs are the absolute best way to tour and I would highly recommend this company. The instruction was perfect, the guides were informed and entertaining. SO glad we decided to tour DC this way.

One of the best experiences in my life... and I've been lucky to travel almost all over the world. You have the perfect way to me to combine educational and fun activities in a simple package. And KUDOS to the excellent guides we had.

We enjoyed this tour so much, that we took it again at night later in the week. All three of us (2 men and 1 woman) are all over 60. The guides were very informative and it was so easy to learn how to ride, I would recommend it to everyone. It's a shame the age limit is 16. My nephews could not go with us and they were both bigger than me. It really was the highlight of our trip.

My family and I couldn't have been more pleased! The staff was extremely friendly and had me and family zipping around Washington, D.C. on the segways in minutes; I was amazed at how quickly we learned how to handled the segways; it would have been more prefect if the weather had not been so hot, but even the weather couldn't stop our excitement!! Our group was small so our tour guide added the WWII Memorial in as bonus; I can't say enough about the segway tour, other than why I haven't done it before now; I would recommand it to all, as one of the best ways to tour any city; the DC staff was awesome!

After a short introduction, the Segway proved to be easy to ride and it was a hoot. The Segway is a precision machine, so we never had any problems going exactly where we chose to go. The tour guide was friendly and informative. He also pointed out all potential trouble spots. Even riding in traffic, he kept us out of trouble. I will do this the next time I return to Washington.

I highly recommend the Segway tour of DC. I would especially recommend the EVENING tour (in the summer). Our guide, Nick, was knowledgeable, courteous, and fun. Going on this tour in the evening was wonderful because the temperature is so much nicer at that time and because it is less crowded at the major sites. In our two hour trip we saw absolutely everything. When I got back to our apartment after the tour, I looked at a map to get some directions for the next morning. It was amazing how much we covered in two hours. We could never have done what we did on the bus tours or by car. I appreciated that our guide Nick knew the path well enough to caution us about hazards on our path and to stop at the photogenic places, in addition to telling us a little background about what we were viewing. At first, I was worried about being able to 'drive' the Segway, the radio sets that are used on the tour, and crossing the street on the Segway before we started. Nick gave us thorough instructions and plenty of practice time before we got started. Part of your tour cost includes free earbuds for the radio communication system they use on the tour. The practice time that you get enables you to get comfortable with following your guide across the street. Now that I've done one Segway tour, I'll definitely do it again the next time that I have a chance.

The guides were great and we got to see a lot of things in a 2 hour time frame which was nice. It was also a lot of fun!

The Segway tour provided an interesting and fun way to see the National Mall and monuments of DC. With a convenient location right next to a metro station, the Segway tour alleviated any concerns or headaches associated with parking. The tour included radios with headsets so that each member of the tour clearly heard the narrative of the guide regardless of the location. The Segway proved easy to master and fun to ride. The amount of territory covered in two hours is impressive and effortless thanks to the wheels of the Segway. A great price and knowledgeable tour guides made this a very worthwhile trip to DC.

Great way to see Washington DC when you are on a time crunch. Plus it cuts out on a lot of walking or fees for taxi's.

Superb way of seeing DC by night.

I was so impressed with our tour guide Nick. He made the adventure in Washington DC fun and exciting. I have to admit I was a little over confident at one time and started to go very fast. I panicked and Nick talked me down and brought me to a safe speed. If you are thinking about going on a Segway tour in Washington DC ask for Nick he has a dry sense of humor and makes the tour extra fun. It was FUN with a capital F!!!

This is the 2nd time Ive taken this tour. Last time was great, this time even better... they now use headsets so you can hear the narration, and they use the bike lanes instead of the sidewalks. We took the 7pm tour which gave us awesome sunset views, and there was less pedestrian traffic so we were able to see both sides of the Capitol. Matt was very informative, and a great tour leader. This is a must do activity...
