Capital Segway

A must see when you go to DC, in order to quickly learn the city for the rest of your trip.

What a great way to see the city! My husband & I are originally from the area & have spent a great deal of time in the District. We both enjoyed the tour very much. Bring bottled water there are holders on the Segway.

I had no idea that this would be so much fun! The Segways are really easy to use, and they truly add to the experience of D.C. I plan to do this again with other friends. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgable. I highly recommend this service!

This was recommended by friends and family and I'm so glad that we decided to take the tour as well - it was great! If you're not able to spend a lot of time in DC this is, by far, the best way to see it; however, it's a great way even if you have a lot of time because then you can spend more time visiting the museums, etc. The segways are easy to ride and just a blast. Thanks to Jamie, our guide, he was awesome!

A different way to sight see DC. Much less stressful on body, less tiresome - SAFE. More views while standing taller. Faster, point-to-point. Variety of sights.

First off, the Segway is an amazing invention. I can't believe I waited this long. OK, so the first guide we had was good in that he was quite attentive to the group's needs. The second guide had an amazing amount of knowledge in terms of the background of the place, but it felt like he was didacting, not communicating. Logistically, the radio had limited reach, so those at the back received broken signals. I wonder, if there was a GPS/iPod attached, whether that would have made people more aware of where they were, and what they were looking at. Overall, I would recommend it, but with the above limitations, I'd say keep the group to 10.

We came down to the Rolling Tunder 2011 and stoped to ride segways and had a Great Time thank you for that.

I have to give two thumbs up to Capital Segway Tours on I Street for an awesome and thorough segway tour of Wasington DC. From the time they showed us how to use the segways to the time the tour began, the tour guides were very informative, friendly and funny. I would highly recommended this to everyone to do. I was afraid to get on the segway but with their guidance I mastered it in about five minutes and felt very comfortable. Our motorcycle group will be going back to DC again and we are going to rent the segways again from the same place.

The focus was the tour and not the Segway, we saw more of the city in less time than we possibly could of had we been on foot, but the Segway was so enjoyable we're thinking of buying two to use locally.

Fun 2 hr trip around the monuments. Knowledgable tour guide and easy to learn.

This was my first time on a Segway, and Capital Segway did a wonderful job: small groups and two wonderful leaders, plus the ability to go the top speed of 12 miles per hour. I hope to go on another tour with them. Highly recommended.

Austin was informative, friendly, listened to everyones' questions and most importantly was concerned with everyone's safety.

Justin was a great tour guide! It was my first time on a segway. We spent just enough time with a lesson and a quick practice before heading out. The novety of riding a segway was the main drawing attraction so I did not expect the tour to be all that great. But to my surprise, it was a very detailed and wonderful tour. I learned a lot about D.C. that I never knew. I only live about an hour away and have been to D.C. countless times. My only disappointment was not riding to more of the monuments.
