Capital Segway

This was an anniversary surprise for my husband, and wow, we had a BLAST! We are familiar with the D.C. area, but still the tour was great. Of course, the most awesome part was actually riding the Segway. I knew that a one-hour tour wouldn't be long enough, and I was nervous about 3 hours since I had never ridden a Segway, so the two hours was perfect! We had such a good time, though, that next time we'll go for as long as possible (3 hours, 4, 5!) Our tour guide, Austin, was amazing too- witty and patient! Thanks Capital Segway for such a wonderful touch to our wedding anniversary!!

WE went on the 2 hour tour. Scott, our guide, was terrific. I will recommend this tour to everyone. Cant say enough good things about the experience...

Segway tour is a great and easy way to see the city and its major sights. A lot of fun with a friendly and funny guide. December was a bit too cold for 2-hour tour though...

We loved our segway tour of DC! We will definitely tour again with Capital Segway the next time we're in Washington D.C.!

We had so much fun riding the Segways after only a minute or two of learning how to ride. The tour guides were helpful and informative. They did a great job weaving us through busy streets and monument sites. It was a bit cold but tremendously fun. We will come back for more Segway tours next time we visit DC!

nice and informative guide. Segways are just too much fun to ride!!! Felt safe during the tour. I would repeat the next time I go to DC, or any other city with a Segway tour. This is my second Segway tour, first was Chicago, and because DC is more open, with wider streets, etc. getting around the entire area was easier than Chicago. But loved both. I would recommend that they increase their souvenir selection. I bought 2 Tshirts, but a Segway keychain would have been neat, or some other smaller, easy to carry items maybe.

Our tour guides Adam and Mario were awesome! My boyfriend and I loved their commentary of the city and we had a great time. Loved that we had headsets so we didn't have to worry about staying close to each other and could hear very well. Very much recommended to everyone!! Ideal way to view the city in just a few hours! Next time we will go when it is warmer but we had a great time, thank you!!

Lots of fun and great alternative to bus tour of monuments. Can't go inside and risk of bad weather, so best in spring or fall

The length of tour time is appropriate. Tour guides are very attentive, and know the history of places well. Highly recommended tour.

I loved every minute of the segue tour. Our guides were great, Scott and Karen. I am going to go on seque tours in every city that I visit that has them. Thanks for a great adventure.

My wife and I live near DC, but never make the time to actually see its sights. So, for our fifth anniversary, I decided to give us a little tour of the city in 40 degree weather. Brrrrr. We arrived and were treated with a disclaimer to sign, which is understandable. Our tour guides, Scott and Karen, spent a good half hour training us on the actual Segway's, which is more time than I would have liked, but understandable, considering we were a group of ten. It's just that I forgot we actually had a tour to take, we were so intently learning the operation of the Segway. We embarked on the 10:00 am tour of DC around 10:30, and saw the major sights along Pennsylvania Avenue and 15th street. Understand that you won't actually have any time to go into any of the places you see- this is just a quick taste to give you a sampling of what you might like to visit later. For 90 minutes, they did pack a good tour, but with one major disappointment- the war memorials. Apparently, Segway's are not allowed in that area (WWII memorial, Korean, Vietnam). So I'd tack another 45 minutes onto the tour and take us by foot. That's really a big loss to the tour. Otherwise, Scott and Karen are funny and knowledgeable about the city and its sights. They make small talk with everyone more than one during the trip, and will be more than happy to snap a photo, hold your Segway, or accommodate you. My wife was more than happy, and that makes me happy with Capital Segway.

-Both guides we had Karen and Scott were fabulous! They took the time to explain and answer all questions. Even the explanation of the segway from Karen was simple and easy to not only understand but the actual use of it. I would recommend them highly! The only problem with the tour was it needed to be just a little longer for the price. -There was some man at the main desk when we returned from our tour who was the only one that was not friendly, maybe an owner or manager, but not friendly! NOT the gentleman that was there when we first got there. -Also a better place to keep our stuff then some closet. It does not say anywhere that you should not bring a purse or personal items, especially if you are out sightseeing. The brochures that were in our pack in front of the segway, I needed to have more, because I was handing them out because of all the people on the street coming up to us asking questions Even booking the trip we spoke to Cynthia at your corporate office and she was very helpful and courteous! Otherwise the best ever! It made our trip to DC! Christine and Carrie

We really enjoyed the tour and getting to get acquainted with the Segway. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Capitol Segway was a great addition to our D.C. experience. The guys were fun and informative. This should be on your to do list when you visit D.C. I would suggest doing it first to give you the lay of the land and then go back to see what you are interested in afterwards. The smaller the group, the more you can see. Definitely worth the money.

My daughter and I took the trip. The segways were easy to learn to ride and the trip was a really fun way to see some of DC. The guides were great.
