Capital Segway

If you've never been on a segway before, you should do this. It is a weather dependent event however, so don't go if it's raining or windy or cold. We loved it. And don't be afraid of the Segway, it's as easy as walking. Anyone can do it.

The See the City Segway Tour with Capital Segway was a wonderful, unique and fun way to see some of the major sights of Washington DC. The orientation session was comprehensive and enabled those of us who had never experienced Segway transportation to confidently manage the Segway. Our wonderful tour guide, Noah, provided very interesting commentary as we travelled around the Federal Triangle. He kept a close eye on all members of the group to ensure that everyone was managing and feeling confident. I would recommend the Capital Segway See the City Tour to everyone who prefers NOT to sit on a tour bus! At the completion of our two hour tour we reluctantly handed back our Segways. We can't wait to use a Segway again!

The segway tour was the highlight of my recent visit to DC. The two hour tour included the main monuments, White House, and Congress etc... It was professionally organised and the equipment was in great condition. My guide (Karen) was fun and knew a tremendous amount about the sites. Anyone worried about riding a Segway for the first time need not be concerned - the instruction is excellent and you are given ample time to get used to the machine. In truth it is easy!!!! Many thanks to all connected to my tour and especially to Karen for enabling me to have such a fun time.

Training was too short. My friend fell twice after going out and had to give up. 15 minutes on the square (before crossing street and tackling ramps) would kave helped.

While getting on the segway was fun and the spin around D.C. quite interesting, there was little in the way of actual explanation of sites and their significance. Tour guide (at end of the day) seemed tired and bored.

I really liked the segwaytour, both for the touristic interest of Washington DC and the information provided by guides and also for the fun of running on the segway machine which was a whole lot of fun.

This was my first time on a Segway, didn't expect that I can handle it comfortable in 5 minutes. Touring DC on Segway was an amazing experience. The Segway Guide did a great job in coaching, guiding us along the way and gave us good briefing about the scenic spots we travelled through. I will definitely recommend this tour to my friends.

I really enjoyed the tour and Erica was super-knowledgable. Of course, even wihout the interesting city, riding aroudn on Segways in a carboard box woudl have been worth it!

A Segway Tour was definitely the major highlight of our weekend in DC. I've never ridden a Segway before, so it was a lot of fun! You need some 5 mins to start feeling comfortable controlling the device, and then the fun begins! You roam around downtown, see the attractions end the guides who go with you make the tour very informative as well. Thank you guys for the great experience! You made our day!

While having great fun riding the Segway the tour also provides a lot of value by providing a good overview of "The Mall". Investing 2 hours helps to identify the things you want to see in more details. This is in particular useful for first-time visitors. In this case do the tour early in the day. For repeat visitors it is a new way of looking at the city. So there is good value for them as well. The price (US$65 per person) is reasonable. Bottom line: Strongly recommended!

My husband and I came from Montreal, Canada to visit Washington. On our first night we saw some people doing a tour on a Segway. I told my husband: "We really need to do it". He found that site on internet and the following day we did the tour at 3:30pm. We were alone with the guide (I think her name was Erika). It was more than what we were expecting. Everybody should do this at least once in their life. For sure I will do it again. This was the better city tour that I never did in my life. Thanks for that wonderful experience. Vincent and France
