Despite the misty rain, my friend and I had a great time. It was fun to have the other tourists gawk at us as we rode by in our generation 2 segways. We saw another group on older segways and felt ours were a lot better looking. A couple of tourists took pictures of our group six riders...I wonder what they will tell their friends about us. Hopefully tell their friends, how they should have gone on the segway tour instead of taking pictures of us on our segways.
I was a little hesitant at first, but quickly got the hang of riding the segway. Truely, anyone can learn to ride it. |

Washington is a beautiful city, but it covers a lot of ground. This tour gave me an overview of the top attractions, with interesting comments by the guide. We didn't stop at all the spots one might visit, but as we went by other potential sites to visit, they were identified by our guide. In a relatively short time, we got the lay of the land.
And by the way, the Segways are easy to ride. The training was easy to follow and driving them was very intuitive. For many reasons, it was a great experience. |

We arrived in Washington and saw a tour and decided it looked really cool so booked the first avialbe which was via this company. The shop was easy you find so we arrived early.
The Seways are all new and top of the range which are really easy to use and great fun. We had a great time but the tour guide was not very well informed and just drove us by lot's of the sights. When questioned she didn't know lot's of answers. There was only us on the tour and it was the last of the day so I guess she had given up a bit. We also went on the road which I didn't really think was a good idea.
Some friends joined us later in the week and we went on another tour with Segs in the CIty which was better. Much more knowledgeable guide, much better route - lot's more to see in Capital Hill instead of just driving past the front of it. The Segways were older on this tour and one of the groups did break down though! The route was much safer as well and we had our full time.
I would not go back to Capital Segways but we did really enjoy both tours because the weather was great, Washington is a fun city and Segways are COOL!!! |

This was the highlight of our time in Washington DC. The Segways were easy to use after a short introduction. It's a great feeling to motor down the sidewalks and feel in control while getting a rush from the movement. Highly recommended. |

My wife and I had an awesome time on our Segway tour. Our guide (Noah) was friendly, knowledgeable and a good instructor, as this was our first time on the Segway.
I would recommend this tour highly.

At first our group was a little nervous that it wasn't going to be as much fun as we hoped due to the unenthusiastic greeting we received. We certainly do not think that you should do a cheer when we arrive, however, a "Hello!" Thanks for coming to Capital Segway!" then briefly tell us what is going to happen next, is very helpful. First impressions are everything, especially when running a business. The way the employees look, dress, and act and how the store presents itself are crucially important to a tourist driven activity. The Segway ride itself was fantastic! Will was our tour guide and did a great job of telling us some fun facts along the way without being too overwhelmingly "tour-guide-ish." This is a great way to see a lot of sites in a short amount of time while riding an extremely fun machine! I will definitely do Segway tours in other cities! |

Had a blast riding the Segway scooters. They're very easy to learn to ride and a blast once you get the hang of it (takes about 5 minutes). Although the tour guide was friendly and informative, we frankly didn't pay much attention to him--we were having too much fun riding around! Highly recommend it as a unique and fun activity. |

Don't be afraid. Anyone can do this.
Excting, fun, and exhilirating. Within 15 minutes, you will be fully comfortable on the Segways. The staff are fun and friendly and very supportive.
Seeing Washington like this is exciting and fun.

First time on a Segway for my wife and myself -- absolutely the most amazing experience! We both learned how to use the Segway within 2 minutes and felt comfortable within 5 minutes! By the time the tour actually left the store we were zipping and zooming with incredible precision, guiding the Segway between security posts in front of the White House with only inches to spare on either side.
Our kids (8-year-old twins) loved riding together in the "Segshaw" behind the guide, handing out flyers to curious passers-by.
Our guide, Steve, was patient with all four of us, and served as a great guide to the City. Next time we're in DC (or anyplace with a Segway tour), we are definitely signing up again!
GREAT experience for the family. |

I highly recommend this segway tour if you want to have great fun -- but not if you want to learn about the nation's capital. While our guide -- a college student -- was most gracious and very accommodating, he didn't seem to have a good grasp of facts (George Washington is buried at Mount Vernon -- NOT in the Capitol building as we were told). Facts aside, it's worth every minute. |
