Capital Segway

Our tour guide (Drew) was extremely knowledeable and had great insights about Washington DC. He was also great ar watching and protecting us from any dangers (whether it was pedestrians wandering in our direction or cars that would be making a turn in our direction). Of course, even as a senior citizen, we truly enjoyed being on the Segways. They were totally fun. It truly was amazing how fast one became comfortable on such. We both agreed that this was the highlight of our week in Washington. Many many thanks.

This review is coming from the mother of 2 in the group that paid for the 4 to go. 3 of the 4 enjoyed the tour. It could have been made better for 2 of the group. Headset for one member of the group did not work and was relayed to the tour lead who said, something to the effect of "sometimes it goes off and on" and was told to keep it. It did not come back on and he missed the entire informational part of the tour. Not good. Most people that are fearful of the segway stay in the back of the group and are most prone to accidents. One of the members was fearful of cars being hit by a car as a child and stayed in the back of the group. She did not enjoy the tour. Since you could not segway on the sidewalk and were on the street, think it important that a Segway Tour Team member be in the back of the group for encouragement, help and most importantly safety. Suggest that your website advise customers that the tour will be in the street.

It was the best fun. Guide(Drew) was informative, amusing and relaxed. Learning to ride the Segway was easier than expected - can't wait to do it again.

Riding a Segway is fun, and viewing historic buildings and landmarks is interesting. Combining the two makes for a very good time. My only quibble is that it's fairly expensive for just two hours.

I had a friend in town for the weekend and really only had one day to do sightseeing. The segways were a fast and easy way to see everything, while experiencing something totally new! We had a great tour guide named Scott, who was funny and informative. I definitely recommend this to anyone visiting DC or those who live here!!!

I am 65, my wife is 64 and my son is 26. Within 15 minutes, we were able to move easily through the streets of Washington on the Segway. We had walked the Mall, the Capital and the White House. It took the better part of a day...and wife was really worn out. On the Segway we did that trip plus more in just under 2 hours. It was the high point of our trip to Washington.Our guide was able to explain points of interest by a radio system that was easy to use. It was great !

I did this with my 60-year-old mother, but we both loved it and since we came back to Japan, we have been recommending it to everyone! It was windy and we couldn't go to all the places we were going to go, but still we are very satisfied!

We highly recommend this tour. We had a great experience and enjoyed both of our tour guides. The weather was the only issue; I believe it was close to 35 degrees. My wife and I definitely plan on coming down to D.C. and scheduling another tour when the weather permits, for sure. Kenny and Naira (NYC)

I enthusiastically recommend this activity to anyone. Spending two hours on a Segway and seeing the sights up close and personal make this a one of a kind activity. I got a picture on my Segway in front of the Capital, and in front of the White House. What can I say except that I look forward to my next trip to Washington to do this all over again. Our segway tour was a Christmas gift from our children and we loved it. My husband and I are active seniors who have been to DC on many occasions, but this tour was informative and a fun, speedy way to see the highlights of the District. Our tour was on a rainy day, but that did not dampen our enthusiasm for the experience. We cannot be more enthusiastic about the tour and our guide, Chris, was super.

Chris and Drew were among the best tour guides I've had on any tour--smart, charming, safe, funny, and handsome of course. They made our Segway tour experience something we (especially my daughter) will remember the rest of our lives, and we are jaded D.C.-area residents not easy to impress.

We had such a great time on this tour. Drew was our guide and we zipped around the D.C. area on our Segways for nearly 2 hours. The tour included the White House, the Capital, the Newseum, and many other sights. A beautiful view of the Washington Monument was the sight of the day, in my opinion. Overall, the tour was fast paced, fun and entertaining - I highly recommend it!!

The tour was very good. As college students who have been here for four years, we thought it would be the same information we knew about the DC landmarks, but the guide gave us new, interesting information. Thanks for everything!

We had a fantastic time. It was our first time participating in a Segway Tour. We had a group of six. Two friends from the DC area, my husband and our two older boys (19 and 16 years old) and me. Our guide (I think his name is Chris) was great. He was very knowledgeable of the history and the sites. He was very entertaining and kept our attention the entire time. He was attentive to the road and pointed out obstacles and irregularities in the road so that we would not have any accidents. He was prepared with new batteries in case our head sets ran out. It was a great way to see the monuments in DC. I highly recommend the tour, the Segways and the touring company. Our friends from the DC area who had been in many Segway tours of other cities commented on the efficiency of the head set system to hear the tour guide. The tours they had been in the past did not have them and it was difficult to hear the guide. Thanks for a great time. Liliana Janer

I had a great time on the Segway tour. Drew was an awesome guide with a lot of fun facts about the city and its sights. Having lived in DC for over 4 years, I wasn't expecting to learn very much, but that wasn't the case at all. It took a few minutes to get used to the Segway (I've never used one before), but once I did, it was very easy to use. This was super fun, and I recommend it to anyone.
