Capital Segway

My wife and I live in Maryland, about a 45 minute trip into downtown DC. We don't go into DC a lot, so we thought it was finally time to take a tour. The idea of riding a Segway had always fascinated us, so decided this was the most exciting way to tour the city. Well, we had the time of our lives!!. We got to see the outside of many of the major attractions, stopped at the Nat'l Mall for 20 minutes for a hot dog and rest before finishing the tour. Riding the Segway was a lot easier than I thought. A 5-10 minute instruction by the tour group was more than adequate. After 10 minutes riding it, it's already second nature; very intuitive. The tour guides (2) give you the tour information using individual ear plugs during the 2 hour tour. Sound quality is just OK, but who cares because riding those Segways is a absolute blast!!!

Wish the tour was longer and included the memorials.

Capital Segway was great. Wife and I and granddaughter took the city tour. Andy was great. Very informative and amusing. These guys are great.

We enjoyed it very much. The tour guide was very helpful and professional. I only wish that I had known about this tour when I was in Washington with my granddaughter.

We just had a wonderful time riding along seeing the sights. We had never ridden a Segway before but they are really quite easy to learn to operate. The tour guides were very helpful and informative, and a lot of fun! We would certainly recommend them to everyone. One of our party didn't feel comfortable getting on one and Capital Segway was nice enough to refund her ticket price which was very much appreciated.

I felt the tour was great with lots of good information given by the tour guides. Having taken other segway tours I think a little more training would be helpful for new riders to segway. More attention on going downhill and being able to control their speed.

What an enjoyable way to get oriented to Washington. Besides, the Segways are fun, convenient, and efficient. Our tour giude was good, but not great. We would recommend the overall Segway tour experience to anyone.

Only one of us had ever been on a segway - our guide was thorough in his instrcution and in a few minutes we were off! What an awesome way to see an overview of the city in just a couple of hours. We'll be looking for segway tours whenever we go to a new city.

Jokes were a little lame

We absolutely loved the Segway tour. It was really scary at first because we had never done it before, but our tour guide was patient and gave us good instructions. Then we practiced in the park across the street before heading out on the tour. It was the highlight of our visit to Washington, DC.

We had four people in our family go on the Tour with two of our group never having been on Segways. Couldn't have been any better with the radio transmitted audio tour and the great Capital Segway experience. These are super people who really understand how to make it fun and informative and the two hour time frame was perfect... what a kick to see other people pointing at you and wishing they were in your place! regards, The crew from Dallas Texas

My wife and I really enjoyed the trip. The only drawback was if we were towards the end of the line, the radio sets were statically.

Our total tour group was only 7 people, ranging from a teenager and his parents to my husband and I, both 65 plus. All of us were novices on the Segways. Our guide Justin was excellent in both the information we received and the humor with which the information was delivered. I would highly recommend Capital Segway for a great experience.

I was a bit apprehensive about riding a segway, but it turned out to be incredibly easy and a great way to cover alot of territory in a fairly short amount of time. Our guides provided interesting discriptions of the various monuments and I got to see buildings that I would not have had enough time to see if I had been trying to cover the same ground on foot (and I am a dedicated walker) It also gave me an idea of which museums and buildings I wanted to return to and visit in more detail.

Sooooo easy to master the Segway. Tour guide was funny and knowledgeable! This was the highlight of our WE in DC.
