Capital Segway

ZERVE, Did a great job with information, maps , direction to the store we used for our sedgway tour of washington, DC. The sedgeway people are very nice and help full to deal with. Very comforting to get you on the machines and work with you. Both companies are nice to work with. Thank you Bob.

Good tour

I had a morning free from a multi-day conference and always wanted to go on a Segway tour. Based on timing and availability, I chose this. I was very pleased with the entire experience, with helpful and amusing tour guides, excellent choice of route. Would highly recommend this tour. Segway was fun and easy to use.

What a blast! A great way to see DC! Andy was both informative and funny! My husband and I saw the city in 2hours. We then went back to several sites to spend more time. Capital Segway seemed to be the only company that had headsets. This allowed you easily heard information about the major sites and memorials and on somethings that weren't a necessary stop. We were able yo take pictures along the way and Andy was more than happy to take your picture. Highly recommend

Our tour leader was an excellent trainer. I thought this was just about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on. They were organized prepared the equipment was in good shape altogether satisfactory

Not quite the full 2 hrs, but half the fun was just riding the Segway, itself!

I would highly recommend this tour as a different and interesting way to see DC. While the tour doesn't cover everything and isn't detailed, it does a great job covering many things for the time alloted to it. Would be great if it covered some memorials on the mall. Not 100% positive, but this is one company that provides wireless headsets so you can hear your guide while riding. The Segways themselves were in great condition and easy to learn! One annoyance is the "service fee" charged by Zerve for my online booking. Perhaps you can avoid this fee if you call/walk up, but the website does not offer these alternatives. It would be nice if Capital Segway highlighted ways to avoid the service fee on their website. I did not get any tickets (other than printed confirmation) and nothing was mailed to me, so the service charge seems to be a charge in the "just because we can" category.

The tour was hosted by a great guide, very competent at both teaching me to use the segway (first timer) and actually being a tour guide. He clearly took the ability of the group into account and catered for our needs. I was in a group of 6 and we were all pretty good straight off, so we did more than normal on the tour, took in a few extra sights, and nobody had any problems. Washington was a really good place to segway too, nice broad streets and places to stop and hear about the sights. The use of headphones was also an act of genius, could always hear the guide, even if you lagged behind looking at something of interest. Heartily recommend.

Great guides and route

Had a great time on the tour. The orientation lesson on the Segway was great and I always felt comfortable and had fun. The tour was great and the 2 guides were very personable and knowledgable. The Segway is a fun contraption! For those of us that would never buy one, it's a great chance to experience one. We covered 6 miles in 2 hours. We would never have done that much walking I will look for other Segway tours in other cities. Capital Segway is a great choice. They are a dealer and use 2 guides with headsets for all. Easy to get to from the orange Metro at McPherson station.

My wife and I really enjoyed the Segway tour. It was very easy to operate the Segway, especially with the expert instruction provided by the staff. The tour itself was both enjoyable and informative. I now know the full story on "breaking the glass ceiling" among many other interesting facts about our nation's Capital. If you've only given a passing thought to taking a Segway tour, go for it. It's an experience you won't soon forget.

Would recommend to everyone! I will definately do a Segway tour in the future.

I never had ridden a Segway before and found it very easy to learn and very fun! This was a great way to cover a lot of ground and see the sights without getting sore feet! The tour guide led us at a comfortable pace and made interesting comments about each of the sights. I appreciated that he didn't talk the whole time -- just at each of the stops. Have already recommended this experience to friends.

The tour guide (Tyler) was excellent. He was very patient, informative and helpful and put as many attractions as he could fit into the two hour time frame.
