With the original 110 ft vessel that began running in 1993, Cape May Whale Watcher has carried well over a half million passengers both around the Island of Cape May and Wildwood, as well as offshore. It holds up to 290 passengers and boasts 350 feet of viewing rail space!
In 2008 the Spirit of Cape May joined the fleet! 110 feet long and holding up to 405 passengers, the Spirit is southern New Jersey's new first class vessel for whale and dolphin watching, and hosts dinner cruises and cocktail party cruises daily.

The Spirit of Cape May is the answer to the crowded beach!
Enjoy a lovely afternoon aboard the all new 110 ft Spirit of Cape May. On this trip, we will cruise through the Cape May Harbor and see Cape May's fishing fleet as well as the U.S. Coast Guard Base. Then leave the Cape May Inlet and head up to the scenic Wildwood beaches.
View frolicking dolphins while you sit in the lap of luxury, either in our air conditioned cabin, or on our huge open sun deck with bench seating designed for laying out and worshiping the sun. Enjoy frozen drinks, cocktails and Caribbean inspired beers.
On this cruise, you can:
- See magnificent sights such as the Cape May Harbor, Cape May's Fishing Fleet, Cape May Inlet, the US Coast Guard Base, the unspoiled Holly Beach Wildlife Refuge, Wildwood Hotels, the Wildwood Boardwalk, and Herford Inlet.
