Cape May Whale Watcher opened its doors in 1993. Since that day, their mission has been to continue to be the leader of their industry in New Jersey.

With the original 110 ft vessel that began running in 1993, Cape May Whale Watcher has carried well over a half million passengers both around the Island of Cape May and Wildwood, as well as offshore.  It holds up to 290 passengers and boasts 350 feet of viewing rail space!

In 2008 the Spirit of Cape May joined the fleet! 110 feet long and holding up to 405 passengers, the Spirit is southern New Jersey's new first class vessel for whale and dolphin watching, and hosts dinner cruises and cocktail party cruises daily.

Activity Description
The Spirit of Cape May is the cure for the common bar. This cruise under the stars includes our house DJ spinning your favorite current beats or a live band, music ranging from Calypso to Jazz to Rock.

Enjoy your favorite drinks while you dance the night away on our spacious upper deck, or relax in our climate-controlled lounge as you drift along on the only cruise ship in Cape May.

The boat's amenities include:

  • 50-speaker sound system
  • Spacious open-air dance floor
  • Beautiful night-time backdrop of Cape May Harbor
  • Upper deck tiki bar
  • Lower deck main bar
  • Cushioned seating for 200 passengers
  • Draft or bottled beer
  • Wine by the glass
  • Mixed cocktails
  • Frozen drinks
  • Restrooms on both decks
Remember, if you go on our Dinner Cruise you can stay for the Cocktail Cruise, no charge (subject to availability)! Your dinner ticket as well as photo ID will be checked for admittance to the cocktail cruise.

*You must be 21 or older to attend. Please bring ID. There will be no refunds for minors.

What Is Not Included?
One shot is included in your ticket price. Drinks after that are not included; however, we have nightly drink specials. The Spirit Galley is always open in case the munchies strike!
