Great activity!

The Carrie B and her staff are top shelf. Our captain was very articulate and entertaining while providing running commentary on the beautiful mansions on "Millionaires Row" and historical information for the area. The length of the trip, 90 minutes, is just right to keep you entertained without being boring. When in the Lauderdale area, I would recommend that you put the Carrie B near the top of your list of things to do and see.

Decent, but I won't ride again...

I give Carrie B the highest mark for cleanliness. The boat was squeaky clean. There's a snack bar. Other than that, the tour was just blah. The tour guide must have been ill because he kept taking breaks. At one point, he even played the radio. There was NO announcement of 'thank you for touring with us, etc.". There was music, then the boat docked, and everyone just starting clearing out on their own. Also, not as many points of interest were announced. I had taken a different tour boat on a previous visit, and the announcer spoke the ENTIRE time. He never ran out of information to share; never took a 'break'; never flipped on the radio, AND he bid us farewell as we were docking. I wish I could recall the name of the boat so that I could recommend it to everyone. The Carrie B loads in a weird spot, on a sparse side street. Be sure that you know where you're going because it's rather easy to drive right by. The other tour I took is located in an outdoor mall area with restaurants, a movie theatre, and a public restroom-- a MUCH better area for visitors-- especially for visitors that rely on cabs or water taxis to get around. After getting docking off of the Carrie B, it took FOREVER to hail a cab. I did not feel comfortable walking along that side street. There's not much around there and you're well-hidden away from the main drag. If you are concerned about safety in an unfamiliar surrounding, I do not recommend the Carrie B because, again, it's on a side street; whereas the better boat tour that I'd recommend loads in an open area entertainment/office complex.

Ship is nice but tour guide lacked enthusiasm

Our group enjoyed the ship & the cruise itself but we thought the narrator of the trip was boring. She sounded as though she was reading a script. We have been on other cruises (other companies) and think their narrator is much better. We did however think this ship is the nicest.

The information provided by the guide was fun and enlightening. Great way to see a side of Ft. Lauderdale that driving in car would not provide. Fantastic sound system not your normal muffled and static projection. Friendly crew and lovely ride for a peaceful and relaxing day. Not a party boat which was very much appreciated by my wife and I. Would take the ride again if ever in Ft. Lauderdale.

Enjoyable Cruise

The cruise was very enjoyable with an always informative and sometimes entertaining narrative. The company needs to update their web site to provide a better address for the boat's location. The address given on our ticket was incorrect. The ticket said 440 New River Drive, the boat was actually across from 411 New River Drive.

The is great introduction type tour at the first part of a vacation. Some beautiful homes and impressive yachts, especially Steven Spielbergs.
