Charleston Tour Package from Myrtle Beach

The tour was everything we expected and the bus driver guide was awesome but the bus was awful. You would think before tours that the bus company would check out the bus to make sure it is in perfect working order. On the way to Charleston it was apparent there was a problem with the air conditioning. It ended up breaking completely and it was 95º that day. The driver had to get another bus brought to us but it shouldn't have had to be that way.

The driver was very nice and informed. Loved the carriage ride! Not enough time at the market. The boat ride was boaring. The Caption described locations 5 min' s before the folks in the back could see them. The food was good, but there wasn't any place to sit your drink. Not enough time at the plantationt to do all the tours. It seemed like I was rushing at times. I felt like for the money, we should have had at least 2 more hours to enjoy the trip.

We really enjoyed the tour except that the time at the plantation wasn't enough time since the house tours and carrage tours are at identical times. Also we were not informed that our group already had a reservation for the house tour when we arrived. With only one carriage running and so many people visiting we missed the carriage ride. After waiting for the next the house tour was when we discovered we had to sign up for that tour and when we went to sign up was when we found out we had already been booked and that time was when we first arrived (but we didn't know that). And the house tour took longer than scheduled so we missed the next carriage ride and left disappointed that we didn't have enough time to see everything. We enjoyed the Charleston tour although it would have been nice to stop long enough to take pictures of the points of interest. We also enjoyed the Carolina Belle ride although again it would have been nice to know we had reserved tables below to eat lunch rather than us not knowing and staying on top and eating off of our laps. The market place was very nice even though we felt alittle rushed. The guides were very knowledgable and comical. Alot of interesting historical facts and interesting information given but it would have been alot more enjoyed if we were informed of reservation times and not felt so rushed. Another 1 - 1 1/5 longer for the entire day would have been completely enjoyable because I think it would have allowed for not feeling so rushed. Although the tour has prompted us to want to vacation in Charleston on our own.

A quick and easy way to see Charleston

We had a great time on our Charleston horse/donkey and carriage tour. The tour guide was wonderful, knowledgeable and funny. The boat ride was nice too and very informative. The tour of the Boone Plantation was great too. We enjoyed it all. If you like history, this is a great day excursion. We certainly enjoyed it. Our bus driver was great too! Absolutely everyone was wonderful.

The horse drawn buggy tour, the harbor boat tour, and the plantation tour serve as a great overview of Charlston. It is a full day, particularly with the round trip bus from Myrtle Beach, but worth it.

I know now what to see when I go back to Charleston. Unfortunately we had very rainy weather which put a little damper on the tour. I like the history of the area and the tour gave us a taste of what to see in the future. It was fun meeting others on the bus.

Our bus driver Greg was excellent. He gave us a lot of information as we made our way to Charelston. The box lunch and the boat tour were also very good. We would liked to have had more time in Charleston. All in all we both enjoyed it. If possible it would have been nice to stop off at the historic sights we saw. Would chose same tour company again and will recommend it to my friends.
