had a great time. I would have liked more time in Charlestown. The Boon Plantation is the weak link in your tour. A fake plantation. A quick tour and lots of ways to sell you things. You could offer better. Most in the group was also disapointed of the Boon leg. Would have love the Aquariam in the summer. |

The carriage tour was great and our guide was very knowledgeable. Our party was very dissapointed with the amount of time we had to shop, about 40 minutes. And by the time we got from the horse barn to the market we had 20 minutes. Then we couldn't find our way back to the bus. They did not give us any written instuctions or maps!
The boat tour of the harbor was interesting and lunch was good.
The plantation was very interesting and certainly worth seeing.
I would reccomend they give out a map when they leave you downtown Charleston, and that more time be made available to shop. |

1) The bus driver was the icing on the cake for the bus tour. He was super entertaining, which made the 2 hour trip fantastic.
2) The carriage ride was not very helpful to us in getting to know Charleston. The girl's sarcastic humor was not appreciated or necessarily understood by the foreigners on our carriage. Let me see...fancy houses...past brothels...churches with cannon ball still in it...that's about it.
3) The boat ride was lovely. The captain was very funny, the history was great, and the sites were beautiful. The highlight of my granddaughter's trip.
4) The plantation was wonderful. We enjoyed the sites and the history of the property. Even though the house was not the original, the property itself was rich in history.
5) Overall, the trip was a great way to preview Charleston. |

We only had time for a one day tour of Charleston and found this bus tour to fit our needs very well. The historic tour of Charleston by horse and buggy was very informative and fun. The guide was very friendly and had a great personality. The boat tour was informative as well as the horse and buggy ride and the box lunch was very good. We would have liked to have had more time at the open air market but understood how we had to squeeze a lot of activities into a small amount of time. We enjoyed the Boone Plantation tour and wished we had more time to spend looking around the grounds. We enjoyed all of the tours and thought it was well organized and offered a good selection of things to do in a day in Charleston. We would highly recommend this tour as a way of seeing Charleston for the first time. |

My husband and I were very very disappointed with our Charleston tour.
1. Too many people were crowded onto each carriage. Especially these days when so many people are much larger than they should be. The carriage does not hold 4 adults in a seat with any comfort - it was literally painful.
2. The time in the markets was not suffient for browsing, nevermind comparison shopping.
3. The boat was also exceptionally crowded; we were the last group to arrive, not that this mattered specifically, because there were at least two other tours booked on the same cruise. Not enough seats to go around and not even standing room on the upper deck.
4. The tour guide at the plantation did not know anything about period furnishings, rugs or wall coverings. Nor did she know anything about actual plantation life and little about slave culture and absolutely nothing about Gullah history.
All of the above could have just been just the result of bad timing, but the combination was extreme disappointment. Yet the last was enough that I really would appreciate my money back.
5. We had to a rude bus driver who subjected us to two hours of the "Best of Dean Martin," volumnes 1 & 2. I hated Dean Martin when I was a child in the 60's; today as a public health professional watching two hours of a smoking, drinking, womanizing entertainer - frequently referring to call girls, being out all night with other woman and never being sober provides an incredibly awful experience and a totally inappropriate experience for the high school sophomore on the bus.
I expect that you will correct at least some of these issues.

Enjoyed the carriage ride through historic Charleston, our tour guide was well informed making the trip enjoyable and educational, walk through the markets, an opportunity to look, smell and buy local wares, boat tour of the harbor and if you paid attention on the carriage ride you could win a token from the captian as he quizzed the passengers on Charleston trivia, and topped off with a tour and further education at the Boone Hall Plantation |

It was a well organized and timed tour. The only thing I would change is shopping time at the flea market. We would have liked more time to shop around and check the wares that they displayed for us. |

We only had the one day to visit Charleston and this was our first visit..It was a very nice way to get to know the city..and learn some Charleston Fun Facts. I would definitely recommend the day to anyone. Our tour included families with younger children, middle agers, and seniors and everyone seemed to be enjoying the day. The bus driver was patient with those of us who dallied too long. I will visit the city again and will look to Zerve again when looking for tours of other cities.
Thanks!! |

Great tour and priced about right.
The carriage ride and leader was filled with information. I would suject not sitting in the 1st seat of the carriage.
The boat tour was educational and the mates were friendly.
The plantation tour was the best part for me - would have enjoyed more time there.
Our tour got a little behind and were suppose to be at the plantation at 1:30 but didn't arrived until 1:50 and the messed up our timeframe for touring the rest of the plantation and the surrounding buildings. |
