We would have loved more time in the town. Instead of the boat trip, we would have loved to have the option to stay in town to see some of the mansions and to see the slave market. We really didn't have enough time to look and purchase anything there because we only had about 1/2 hr. and that included the walk to and back to the bus.The homes would have been much more interesting then the boat ride. The trip to the plantation was interesting but we should have been notified that the enactments were not beening done. |

If you are a minority beware of this trip!!!!
I was looking forward to this trip. I researched it well ahead of time and booked early. I literally cancelled another trip to attend this trip. However, I, as well as my family members felt discriminated against on this trip. We were the only minorities on this trip and we felt the resentment from the start. As the trip progressed, it seemed to get worst.
Some of the discomfort was not the fault of the driver; however, non minorities were very segregated from minorities. The driver spoke fast and seemed to direct most of the conversation to the people in the front of the carriage, not the back of the carriage.
I was a little disappointed with the plantation tour; not enough history or information provided. However, I was pleased with the timeframe allotted to allow us to walk around and view history.
I will not recommend this tour to any of my minority family members or friends!
Very disappointed!!!!!
I was very surprised I saw no minorities driving any of the carriages. |

Having been to Charleston many times with family & friends in the past we always wanted to do the thing this trip offered (carriage ride) but never had the time.
The bus was very nice (COOL) and the bus driver was very informative, courteous and punctual, which made the trip nice for our international friends.
The price for this tour was a great value as this trip would have cost double the price if we would have drove down from Myrtle Beach ourselves.
It was really nice to be picked up and escorted to each tour without having to worry about finding parking!
The harbor boat tour was a nice time to just sit down to eat your box lunch and enjoy the beautiful weather as the boat captain provided a factual history of Charleston harbor.
After a busy day of touring Charleston is was very nice to just sit in the Air Conditioned bus and relax for the 1 1/2 hour drive back to Myrtle Beach.
We highly recommended this tour group & trip to Charleston. |

I would recommend this trip to everyone. We enjoyed the boat and carriage ride as well as the trip to the plantation. I would have liked more time at the plantation but understand the restraints. The people were nice and knowledgeable and the best part...we didn't have to drive. The only problem I had with the tour was that we had a child with us and had to pay the same package price for her as we paid for the adults but when we were in Charleston, we noticed reduced prices for children for everything we did. I think you should pass the savings on to the families because the differences were significant. |

We had a wonderful time. Our bus driver was very accommodating. Everything ran like clockwork. We enjoyed every part of the tour. I wish I could have had more time to shop in the market in downtown Charleston. We would recommend this tour to others. |

The bus was on time and was found easily in the parking lot. Our bus driver was very lucid with the instructions and allowed bathroom breaks in clean facilities. The carriage ride was very nice and our guide was extremely informative. The flea market was good, but more time for shopping would have been nice. The harbor cruise was wonderful and the lunch provided was one of the best lunches we had on our vacation. The Boone Hall Plantation was beautiful and our guide was again, extremely informative. The whole trip was awesome and a very nice sample of Charleston. |

We enjoyed both the carriage ride and the harbor tour. The guides were fascinating and gave very interesting facts and details about the area. We would recommend the tour to others in the area as a great addition to their vacation.
One problem associated with the tour is that if you are staying in Myrtle Beach many times you do not have access to a computer or a printer to print out the e ticket which was not needed when we arrived at the bus for the tour. Should be able to send confirmation by text message to phones. |
