We found the entire tour very informative. However, feel that more time should be alloted to the time at the Boone Plantation. Due to time constraints we could not take the Plantation Coach Tour - altho' did return to our start point fifteen (15) minutes early - 5:15 PM rather than the 5:30 stated time. With a country/rural background, I was very disappointed that the tour of the entire plantation by coach was not available to us. After a presentation of Boone Hall, we were too late for the 2:15 tour and the 3:15 tour was too late for our bus departure for Myrtle Beach. |

On the buggy ride our guide Ben was very nice and knowlegeable - the one problem is there were 4 magpies that would NOT shut up through the whole tour. One even took a call on her cell phone 'Oh yes I'm on the buggy ride right now' with NO consideration to other people - in all honesty it ruined the entire ride for three people, we could hear nothing regarding the history. Could you please request people have some respect for others and keep personal conversations to a minimum. The reason I didn't say any thing to these ladies is it was the beginning of the day and I didn't want bad blood for the rest of the day. This even continued on the bus as they sat across from one another and talked or 'YELLED' to one another during the ride home. You cannot teach class or respect to some people but if you could please request that people don't converse during the tour it would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Enjoyed the trip, but didn't feel the plantation had too much to offer. Loved the boat cruise and carriage ride. |

Considering that there was very hard rain, wind and possible thunderstorms, the trip should have been cancelled. The carriage ride was very uncomfortable with the wind and rain and the group was too miserable to enjoy the homes and the area. Luckily the weather cleared later and the rest of the trip was good. The itinerary was very good but I would have liked a little walk around time in the area with all the old homes and in the market. The harbor ride was very nice and also Boone Plantation although 2 hours was a bit too much; 90 minutes would have done it. |

The trip is very well planned. Have never been to Charleston before and would definitely recommend this tour. Everyone associated with this trip was friendly, courteous and knowledgable in their particular part of the tour (bus driver, carriage driver, captain and plantation guide). |

Bus was an older coach with uncomfortable seats for a total of a 4 hour trip to and from Charleston. Upon arrival in Charleston, we had to wait approximately 1 hour for the arrival of the carriage for the tour of the city. Due to this delay, we did not have an opportunity to visit the market; something we had looked forward to. Boat cruise was relaxing and the provided lunch was tasty. Tour of Boone Hall was interesting. |

The problem was that being the first trip of the season, there was a mistake about having the horse drawn carraige ride scheduled. Our bus left Myrtle Beach on time. We arrived in Charleston on time... and waited and waited for the next part of the tour. The carraige tour operators didn't know that our trip had been scheduled and had to scramble to send mules and carraiges for 41 people. While we were waiting, I personally called the tour company using my cell phone. I did not feel that my call was answered politely at all. They did come, late, and we missed the chance to visit the famous Charleston Marketplace since we had to rush on to the boat for the harbor tour. The bus driver was very very nice, but other than that we feel that we had a very negative experience. |
