Memorable Day in Charleston!

| We enjoyed the carriage ride through the historical area of Charleston and the tour of Boone Plantation was interesting. The food on the harbor cruise was great but it was a hot day and difficult to get out of the sun while on the boat. Our bus driver from Pittsburgh (can't remember his name) made our trip just perfect. He gave us all the information we needed at each stop and even showed tapes from the Dean Martin Variety Show on the way back to Myrtle Beach. It was a great day and seemed to be planned very well. | ||||||

| This was a well planned trip that offered a full day of activities in the Charleston area. It certainly left us interested in being able to experience more of this wonderful town. The bus was clean and well maintained, the driver was very polite, and the tour guides were very informative. All in all, would say this is an excellent value that provided a nice primer to the area. | ||||||

| MY HUSBAND AND I WERE ON VACATION AT MYRTLE BEACH FOR A WEEK OF GOLFING. PRIOR TO THE TRIP I HAD SET UP OUR ITINERARY WITH SEVERAL DAY EXCURSIONS -THIS TOUR BEING ONE OF THEM. I CHOSE THIS ONE BASED ON THE REVIEWS THAT WERE AVAILABLE SO RECENTLY WHICH WAS IMPORTANT TO ME. CONTRARY TO THE LISTED INSTRUCTIONS, THE TOUR BUS DID HAVE A RESTROOM WHICH WAS A BONUS. THE BUS DRIVER WAS VERY PLEASANT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE AREA. ONLY 18 ON OUR TRIP INCLUDING 1 CHILD SO VERY INDIVIDUALIZED. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS TRIP FOR SMALL CHILDREN. FIRST STOP WAS CARRIAGE RIDE IN HISTORIC CHARLESTON - WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SPENT MORE TIME IN THE HISTORIC DISTRICT. 2ND STOP OPEN AIR MARKET - 3RD STOP WAS HARBOR CRUISE AND IT WAS OK BUT COULD HAVE SHORTENED IT 20-30 MINUTES AND USED THAT TIME FOR THE HISTORIC DISTRICT. 4TH STOP WAS THE PLANTATION AND IT WAS INTERESTING ALSO. OVERALL A GOOD WAY TO GET A TASTE OF WHAT CHARLESTON HAS TO OFFER AND BEST OF ALL SOMEONE ELSE DOES THE DRIVING!!!! | ||||||

| We were pleased with the tour. The horse drawn carriage tour was charming. Our guide was very, very knowledgeable. The tour was a good amount of time also. The tour does need more time for shopping in Charleston.. We did not have enough time to shop the flea markets and enjoy them. We had to board the bus for our boat tour. Extend the shopping time. The boat ride could be shortened. Also the Boone Hall Plantation tour could be more interesting. | ||||||

| The day started early, but there was a lot to do. From Myrtle Beach at 7:00 we went about two hours to Charleston and got a splendid day of great Charleston tours. We started with a carriage ride with a personable young woman who was humorous and intelligent, filled with interesting details of the history and landmarks of Charleston. From the carriage ride, we had an hour and a half--plenty of time--to shop in the Marketplace; then we went to the harbor to catch a boat for a tour of the harbor out to Fort Sumter. Great sights and history lesson! Lunch on the boat was tasty deli food from a box! The chocolate chip cookie was memorable! Next, we boarded the bus and headed back for a tour and some free time at historic Boonehall Plantation. Everyone was pleasant, helpful, and sociable, making out tour the best way to spend a short vacation day. We arrived back at Myrtle Beach at 5:00--still time to enjoy the nightlife after a busy day. We recommend this trip to everyone! We really got our money's worth for the day. | ||||||

| Enjoyed the carriage ride, only complaint is it went too quickly!! Trip onboard the boat was very enjoyable even in the cold. Boone plantation was somewhat of a disappointment in the fact you are unable to view the entire house, but the grounds were lovely. We did not take the tour of the farm itself. All in all it was a very enjoyable day and would book a tour with your group again. | ||||||

| We were unfamiliar with Charleston so we decided to take this tour. We were very pleased - they keep you moving from place to place at a fairly quick pace, but you don't feel rushed. The tours were interesting and informative and we feel ready to go back and revisit places where we would have liked to spend more time. My only note: I wish they had given us more time to do a little shopping - we only had about 25 min and we would have liked to explore the Historic District - they could cut the lenght of the Harbor Tour a little to make up the time difference. | ||||||

| This trip was worth the money! It included a little bit of everything to give you a good overview of Charleston and was very interesting and fun. It was great to be able to do the horse & buggy ride, boat tour and some exploring on foot which included some free time to look around or shop. I definitely recommend this trip. | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The bus driver Dave was great - couldn't have been nicer. On the way home he played a comedy DVD which helped to pass the time. He gave us an excellent background on the Myrtle Beach area. The horse and carriage ride was a wonderful way to see the beautiful city of Charleston. Only problem is that hard to take photos while moving. Much information was being given to us very quickly and it is difficult to take it all in. We had about an hour to shop at the market -- there were sweet grass baskets being made. Other than that most of the merchandise was flea market type stuff. The harbor cruise gave us a different perspective of Charleston -- we had beautiful weather and also enjoyed this. The box lunch was very nice, even my picky husband liked it. The Boone Hall Plantation was also lovely -- the oak lined drive in was gorgeous and the gardens very colorful. The local guide was dressed in costume which added to the fun. Feel we saw a lot in a day. | ||||||
