We all really enjoyed the experience provided to learn about the different neighborhoods and enjoy some good eats along the way. This is so a one of a kind way to experience all that the city has to offer. Thanks again, we'll be back!

My sister from S. Carolina was visiting and we made a day trip into Chicago for the Food Tour. It was such fun! She'll go back to SC and have so much to share with her family and friends there. Loved it---and she will come back soon for us to take the Wicker Park Food Tour! :-) Thanks.

My husband and I enjoyed the tour very much. We were not sure about the spice shop and the Oil shop when we signed up. It turned out that the Old Town Oil shop was our favourite. We loved the experience so much that we went back the next day and tasted more combinations and ordered some to be shipped home. We enjoyed all the stops on the tour. Our tour guide made everything came alive. The pace was good, quantities and mix of food very good. Would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Chicago.

My friends and I had a wonderful time with our charming and well-informed guide. We chewed and sniffed and tasted and munched and swallowed--through the best Reuben I've ever had, followed by a most welcome glass of special iced tea, then chocolate, then a lesson on different kinds of cinnamon (you didn't know there were any, did you?) in the most fragrant of settings, followed by tastings of balsamic vinegar and flavored olive oils that were good enough to chug, a bit of WI cheese and fresh hummus--and ending with Chicago-style stuffed pizza. Wow. In between we learned about clever and outrageous real-estate deals, historical architecture, and area history. Try it--you'll like it!

I attended the Near North Food Tour with a 5 member work group. Another group in our department had previously taken the tour and were very impressed. I've lived in Chicago most of my life and thought that I knew a lot about the various neighborhoods we visited but, I was wrong. Our tour guide, Jennifer was fun, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about Chicago history and architecture. We enjoyed every stop on the tour....it's hard to decide which was the favorite....the chocolate shop, oil shop, spice emporium or the delicious pizza. I would recommend this to any food lover who would enjoy a leisurely stroll in a beautiful city with a lively, informative tour guide. Thank you!

For many years we have been traveling to Chicago to experience the "Big City" culture and food. We have enjoyed the plays, museums, eaten at many of the fine restaurants but , we wanted to experience something different. this trip. We chose to stay in a Gold Coast hotel and when I saw the Near North Food Tasting and Cultlural Walking Tour on-line - I thought it would fit in perfectly with our plans and it did. We thoughly enjoyed the quaint shops and the great food on the tour. Our guide was very informative and it was just not a walk from shop to shop, but an educational tour. Being from a small town in the mid-west it was great to feel the eating experience with the locals in their neighborhoods.

The food tour was the high point of my Chicago vacation. Our guide Jessie was enthusiastic, knowledgable and outgoing. The portions of food were adequate- (you will not be hungry!). I've been on other food tours that were inside a market and although enjoyable it can not compete with being outdoors and learning about the neighborhood. I'm already looking forward to another tour by the same company!

My husband and I have visited Chicago many times, but have never seen it quite like we did during the tour. Being independent business owners ourselves, we appreciated the opportunity to visit some of Chicago's lesser known establishments. Our guide, Jen, was terrific. She shared so much about the neighborhoods we visited that it made us want to spend more time there. We enjoyed the food, but even more so the demonstrations about tea, spices and oils, which were very informative. The only thing missing was a Chicago hot dog, which would have been a nice addition. We highly recommend this tour. Just remember that it's one way! It's up to you to find your way back, but that gives everyone a chance to stop and shop at the places you visited.

Kate, our host, was great. She was punctual and kept the group moving. She seemed very knowledgeable about the products offered in the stores and gave honest opinions when asked. My favorite spot was The Spice House. The spice smells, the very kind employees, and the building itself. I thought it was too far between Catering*Chocolate and Bacino's. The pizza was delicious but I was really tired from the walk and we had exceptionally beautiful weather to be walking--in the 70's. I can't imagine taking the tour in normal July heat. I think a trolley would be a nice touch through those neighborhoods and parks and also to bring you back to Old Town to shop after the tour. We felt the tour took most of our day (we got there early/the tour/returning to shops), and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We want to come back to Chicago and take the Wicker/Bucktown tour. Also, your website is very easy to navigate, very helpful honest information about the tour and buying the tickets. Thanks.
