We had been to Chicago before and had seen many of the tourist sights. We came this time with our 16 year old son, and we all thought it was the highlight of the trip. Loved many of the tasting stops and especially the neighborhood history.

I learned about this tour on food tv - and it well worth our time & money. My husband was skeptical and ended up really enjoying himself. Niki, our guide was very informative. Later during our vacation we revisited several of the locations & used the coupons they gave us. Definitely do this tour early in your trip so you can enhance your vacation. By the way the Spice House was our favorite stop.

My husband and I loved the tour! It was a very educational experience. We feel like we know Chicago a lot more now! We just hoped we could have tasted more food. But the overall experience was great:) We are definitely doing a taste tour of other cities.

My daughter and both I enjoy cooking (and eating) and we were looking for something different to do while in Chicago for the weekend. This tour fit the bill perfectly. Our tour guide, Nicki, was enthusiastic, friendly and very knowledgable. We enjoyed the variety of different shops and restaurants and seeing neighborhoods that we hadn't seen on previous trips to Chicago. Nicki kept the tour moving at a nice pace, but we never felt like we were rushed through any of the stops. We went back to several of the shops, after the tour, to purchase the items we had sampled and are looking forward to trying them out at home. A friend of mine was also on the tour with us and the 3 of us couldn't stop talking about how much we enjoyed the day. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great way to spend an afternoon in Chicago

I was in Chicago for a long weekend with my husband who was attending a seminar on Friday; therefore, I found myself with a free day. I had been to Chicago multiple times in the past while on business and never had time to "see" the city. I am a fan of Trip Advisors and have used it to plan many trips and thus resorted to reviews of top attractions for Chicago before attending. Excellent, consistent reviews by past customers led me to the Near North Tour. Weather was cool and perfect for walking, our guide, Jennifer, was enthusiastic, informative and fun and the historical information and the food were excellent. I would highly reccomend the tour to others!

Our guide had such enthusiasm that it spread throughout our group. I had a wonderful time learning about the history of the places we visited, as well as the history and architecture of other buildings we passed along the way. The food was great and the tour offered me the opportunity to try things outside of my norm (The Spice Shop and the Olive Oil/Vinegar place). Had a fantastic time and will try this type of tour in every city I visit!

My husband and I went on vacation to Chicago in April for his birthday. I found this tour and thought it would be interesting so I signed us up for it. The tour was everything I thought it would be and more. Nikki was our tour guide and she was wonderful and very enthusiastic about everything. I would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to learn more about Chicago and the local foodie places. We would definitley do it again! Thanks so much and keep up the good work!
