| Every thing about the tour was great - tour guide, places visted, architecture. I have a new appreciation of oil and vinegar. I recommended the tour to a relative who lives locally, and she plans to make a reservation. |

| We all enjoyed the food and the history. The guide was very personable and knowledgable. Our group of 6 included my older parents, who were a little slow with the walking. The description says for all ages and fitness levels, and we proved that was true! The guide was attentive to us and our needs; made sure we crossed the streets safely and caught up with the group. We had food experiences we had never expected and had plenty to eat. |

| Very interesting tour of the near north neighborhoods. I was very impressed with our tour guides - extremely knowledgeable, genuinely friendly, and decidedly passionate. We enjoyed the historical and architectural info, which was heavier at the end of the tour (would have liked a bit more historical info about the areas at the beginning of the tour, especially the Rush St area).
Heralding this partially as a "food tasting" was a bit of a stretch. Aside from the final stop'shearty slice of pizza, there wasn't much substance. The 14-year old with me was starving by the end of the 3 1/2 hours, even though we had eaten a large breakfast late in the morning.
All-in-all, it was a fun experience. We told our local Chicago guests that we would recommend the tour overall. Adding a little more commentary and lore about the area at the beginning (shorten up the tea stop) and augmenting the tastingpart would enhance the experience. |

| To start with the tour was extremely well organized and our host (Shane) was extremely personable and knowledgeable. The tour mixed in information on each of the foods we were introduced to with a myriad of facts about the areas of Chicago we were walking through. The tour was very well planned and scanned the spectrum from tasting exotic oils and vinegars to learning about rare spices, from tasting homemade hummus to sipping unique teas, from sampling incredible chocolate to devouring one of a kind stuffed pizza.
My recommendation is to book early because this tour will sell out fast. There wasn't one person that I spoke to in our group who wouldn't go back again with a group of friends or relatives (even the hard to please ones!), including us!
Well done Chicago Food Planet, we look forward to trying your Bucktown tour in the near future! |

| This was a great tour that everyone enjoyed. We had delicious food samples
and learned about various areas of Chicago. Our tour guide was fabulous --
enthusiastic and able to answer all of our questions. There is a lot of fast
walking, so be prepared -- not recommended for those who have a hard
time keeping up -- you cover a lot of ground. |

| This food walk was an excellent way to begin your vacation. The host was excellent and the information exceptional. I would recommend taking the tour at the beginning of your Chicago vacation, it provides valuable "local" information and gives you great suggestions for places to eat, and things to do. I do suggest eating prior to going on the walk, there is not as much food as one would think, however, the historical information was priceless. I plan on booking the other food walk through this site the next time I visit the Chicago Land area. Well worth the cost of the ticket ! |
