My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. We are both unfamiliar with Chicago but felt that this tour helped us get our bearings. We also figured out where to get a great meal and where the good shopping is. This tour introduced us to neighborhoods we otherwise wouldn't have seen. Our tour guides (one was in training) were great! They were willing and able to answer just about every question we asked them. For what we got, this tour was an absolute bargain.

The tour was actually more fun than we had anticipated! We really enjoyed touring some of Chicago and eating some food along the way. Thought the tour time was about right; maybe a little long. Would only recommend not having as many chocolate stops. By the time we got to the last stop (Ethel's), chocolate really wasn't what we wanted. We sensed that from the group as well. Overall, we truly enjoyed the tour and really like our guide. She did a great job!

If you've done the Greenwich Village food tour in NYC, you might be disappointed in this Chicago version as the food isn't nearly as good nor as plentiful. Nevertheless, I found the Chicago tour interesting and a good way to become familiar with some of it's neighborhoods.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Food Tour. The weather was gorgeous and that added to the tour's appeal, especially as we walked everywhere. I loved the areas we went through and the places we stopped at, which were nice and varied. I also enjoyed the fact that we were a group of only 6 plus our leader Nikki. It made for a very relaxed atmosphere. A group of 16 (the maximum number allowed) would probably be a little less personal and more rushed. Nikki was a great person - friendly, fun, interesting and enthusiastic. I particularly loved the two chocolate places we visited. I would have liked to stop and buy some of the amazing chocolate products at The Fudge Shop but we didn't have time. I made up for that at Ethel's Chocolate Lounge though. The tour is well organised, and all the necessary information is provided on booking and in the subsequent email you receive. If you get a chance to do the Food Tour, you should!

The tour guide (yeah, Nikki!) had a great personality and made the tour fun. It was a small group, so we had lots to eat. I retraced our path and made some great purchases. The stores were happy to ship for me, since I was traveling by air. I wore a comfortable pair of shoes and still ended up with a blister. Another lady on the tour stopped and purchased shoes before she returned to her hotel. WEAR THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES YOU OWN!!

We heard about this from a friend and we started reading the reviews online. We read positive and negative reviews, but overall we were intrigued by the "Taste of Chicago" and decided to go ahead and book the tour. We met at the starting location and were met by Nikki our tour guide. We were so excited because all of the reviews that we read about Nikki were wonderful. The tour took us through 3 neighborhoods, all unique in their own way. We tasted several different kinds of foods, all were great. Surprising enough, the olive oil and vinegar tasting was our favorite! Along the way Nikki told us interesting facts about the food, buildings, and neighborhoods along the tour route. It was so interesting to learn about the city in this way. We HIGHLY recommend that you do this tour early in your visit to Chicago, that way you can go back to the neighborhoods and stores. This tour really helped us to feel comfortable in the city. We do warn that this tour is a lot of walking, but it is at a slow even pace, totally manageable. We were tired at the end, but not so much that it left a negative impact on us, we even went to the Sears Tower after the tour. We read in the reviews that you are hungry after the tour, we did not experience this in the least, we were very satisfied! Go on this tour and have fun, we did!! And try to get Nikki as your tour guide, she's the best. We do recommend checking the weather forecast before you book the tour, we did this and the day we picked was absolutely beautiful, the best of the week.

I really enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowledgable of the area and added a lot of additional suggestions for dining in the city. She was enthusiastic about the restaurants we visited and knew their history.

I had a great time on this tour. I have been to chicago many times and came with some work friends who wanted to go. I really enjoyed the tour and had a lot of fun. Our guide was great. I can't remember her name but we went on 5/5/08 in the morning and she did a super job showing us around. Thanks so much! I would (and did) recommend it highly to my friends.

We had a GREAT tour with a very nice young person. It was an informative, friendly tour with a with a 'lovely' tour guide. The 'tastings' were very good. We gave the tour information to our hotel people, [Renaissance Hotel] who did not know of this walking tour. THANKS Richard Jarzobski
