The best aspect of our tour was our guide and her knowledge of eclectic Chicago food and beverage locations. She was absolutely a charm.

Our tour guide was EXCELLENT. She was very personable and shared so much information with our group. It was an enjoyable tour and great exercise, and we got to see parts of Chicago that we never have been to. The stops at the Spice Shop and Oils were outstanding. And so was the pizza stop. We wish we had more time at each of the stops for our purchases, although the coupons were much appreciated so that we could return at our leisure. We will look forward to our next visit to Chicago to experience another culinary and cultural tour with exercise!

What a great tour! It was informative, fun and quite tastey! Our guide, Emily, was articulate, made the walk interesting, and was very organized. When I saw the shops we would visit I was on the fence about a tea shop, oil shop and spice shop and they turned out to be my favorites. At first I was a little unhappy about the announcement that we would not have time to shop but I totally understand why. But if you are quick and dont hold up the group you can manage to get in a few purchases! I have since ordered from the oil shop online which was just as well as we were from out of town and it would have been a hassle to try and get the oil and vinegar home on the plane. I have always been a tea drinker but drank "tea dust"! No more! We returned to the tea shop where I purchased several varieties and will be a repeat customer online. Same for the spices. The Saigon cinnamon is unbelievable and I will be ordering from them as well. I am considering ordering all of my christmas gifts from these vendors.

This was a blast. The guide was fun and friendly. She took us on a 3 1/2 hr tour through three neighborhoods in downtown that we'd never have found as out-of-town tourists. We got info on architecture and history of these areas as we walked between our eight food destinations. My favorite stops were: the balsamic vinegar and olive oil shop, the loose tea shop, the pizza place, and the fudge shop. All stops were informative and yummy. I would recommend this tour for tourists and natives. They have another food tour in a different area too.

We loved the walk through the beautiful neighborhoods; the history, the architecture, the interesting stops with background on everything from teas to spices to chocolates and so on. Thanks to our informative tour guide Rebecca, we loved our tour and wish we had something like this in Seattle! Thanks for a good time and a nice walk!

We took the Near North Food Tasting Walking Tour on Saturday October 18th at 12:30. Our guide was fantastic and we really enjoyed the places on the tour. Of course the food was fantastic, from the potato pancakes to the chocolates and pizza. The stops at the spice house and the oil and vinegar store were great! Not the usual venue and so appreciated. Very personable young lady guiding us and she seemed to enjoy this as much as we did.

I am really glad I did this tour. Our tour guide was very informative, fun, and personable. The tour involved more than just food. It also involved site seeing around the city which I appreciated since it was my first time there. I would say that it was more a "sampling" tour of potato pancakes, tea, spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, chocolate, and, my personal favorite, pizza. The tour is well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago. Just be prepared to WALK!
