| This particular tour was such an unexpected "find". It was more than 13 Plum Pretties of the Red Hat Society anticipated. Nicky, our guide, presented interesting facts about the various eateries and specialty shops. The shopkeepers' involvement and their contributions made things more interesting. The provided details were never boring and very well received by the ladies. It was deliciously delightful.
The neighborhoods we walked through and tidbits of information about the various homes and buildings added excitement to the tour. Needless to say, I was so happy the 12 ladies traveling with me enjoyed it as much as I, especially since I had scheduled this outing for the Plum Pretties not knowing what to expect. It could not have been better or more fun. It was like finding a hidden secret.
We all appreciated our guide's enthusiasm and professionalism, plus the friendly manner in which she gave of herself to the tour. I am certain Nicky's presentation added to the entire tour's success.
I enthusiastically recommend this tour to others going to Chicago and looking for something new and fun to do. This tour is not to be missed. Thank you for a most wonderful afternoon.
Hugs from The Plum Pretties,

| Just a couple of old friends spending a beautiful, warm fall day walking and eating our way through the afternoon. The 8 places were varied and interesting, but the extra comments about each neighborhood and it's history and architecture were wonderful bonuses! |

| The walk through Gold Coast, Old Town and Lincoln Park neighborhoods, stopping for tastings at a variety of places, including a deli, a tea shop, a spice shop, a shop selling oils and vinegars, several chocolate places and a stuffed pizza place was terrific! It is an easy walk, and we learned about the neighborhoods as we passed through. At each stop, someone explained what they sold/made and gave us samples. It was a perfect way for a food lover to spend about 3 hours and learn about Chicago's food scene. Our guide, Nicky, was delightful, and our group was very congenial. I'm told they are adding a new tour and I will certainly try that when I'm back in Chicago. I'd highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in food. And, in the course of the tour, we ended up having a nice lunch by the bite. |

| I thought this Tasting and Cultural Tour was one of the best things to do in Chicago.
I got to see some of the city during the walk. Learned the difference between stuffed and deep dish pizza (which was outstanding). Our guide was enthusiastic, the group was small enough for us to enjoy the places we went. It was well organized. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get the flavor of the city.
In fact now when I go to other large cities I hope they have this kind of event. |

| Jennifer was a delight and added much skill and knowledge to our walk. We loved the stops, the shops, and the local insight. It was obvious that Jennifer loves Chicago. I would recommend this tour to anyone. I understand the time constraints, but it would have been fun to buy things. |

| Our Food Planet Tour was great, from start to even beyond finish! Emily, our guide, not only knew about the places and foods we'd be sampling, but had background about the places of business, the owners/managers and their history, and the buildings and events in the Near North area. She recognized the needs of the group and was also respectful of the places of business we were visiting. We learned a lot about this area of Chicago, even though we live so near many of these places! The added incentive of a few coupons will ensure that we will return and we were glad that the trip itself did not allow for shopping-that kept the pace and length of the tour very managable. We really recommend Chicago Food Planet tour to locals and visitors and are very excited to take the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour. We're hoping that you can expand your offerings to include the other unique neighborhoods of Chicago! |

| The majority of the three and a half hour tour is spent walking through he Gold Coast, Old Town and Lincoln Park. Frequent stops for short stories, historical perspective and, of course, tasting make the journey less a workout and more a stroll. However, at the end of the tour you will know that you walked a long way.
The selection of places to stop and taste allows for every type of food preference, as well as, a few pleasant surprises.
I plan to take this tour again in the future. It's that much fun. |

| My husband and I received this tour as a Christmas gift from our family. We are from Michigan and always enjoy going to Chicago for a mini vacation or a day of shopping. The tour was everything we hoped it would be and more. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Chicago history, restaurants, stores, and the architecture of the residential buildings and neighborhoods. She was always eager to tell us more than we expected and she had a super disposition and great smile.
We toured a variety of shops: deli, tea shop, spice store, oils, gourmet foods and cheese, two candy shops, and pizza parlor. Their samples were delicious. We were fortunate to visit when the owners were there and they shared extra stories and interesting facts with us.
It was fun to meet the people in our group and learn from what part of the country they traveled. One person was visiting from the UK.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella in case of rain. We had great weather. We highly recommend this tour. |

| When they say the tour goes rain or shine, they aren't kidding. We did our tour during the rain from Gustav and it rained the entire day but it wasn't cold. There is plenty of walking but the stops are terrific and Emily was a great guide who knew a lot about the areas we walked through as well as the stops we made. I particularly enjoyed the Spice Market and Tom, the owner, who gave a great presentation on various cinnamons. The tea shop and oil store were also favorites of mine and I went retraced my steps (still in the rain) to make some purchases. I highly recommend the tour for some great shops and some interesting history of Chicago. |
