loved it! Jen was a great tour guide. Who would have known olive oil tastes so good, one of our tour stops.

If you are traveling to Chicago I would recommend this tour as a great way to begin your stay in the "Windy City". Great food, better stories and some very interesting history, will wet your appetite for this city. Great tour!

Wonderful tasting, architecture, walking combo

Wonderful combination of food tasting, architecture and walking and an excellent way to get a feel for the different neighborhoods as you wind your way through the Gold Coast, Old Town and Lincoln Park. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was terrific. She was informative, friendly and was a wealth of information wherever we went. A great way to start your trip to Chicago and it definitely beats riding around in a double decker bus. One tip - the tour ends a few blocks away from the Lincoln Park Zoo and Conservatory. Admission is free to both and they shouldn't be missed.

Probably not value for money

The beginning (Ashkenaz) and end (Biacini?) were the best food parts of our tour. Otherwise, it was difficult to see where $42/person went. Nicky was an excellent guide, but I doubt that you paid her $60/hour for 3 hours On the inedible side, we enjoyed seeing Chicago neighbourhoods that we otherwise would not have visited

Great Local Experience

This was a great way to truly experience some of the local culture Chicago has to offer. Living in the area I learned new things and experienced places off the beaten path we normally travel. Highly recommend this to both visitors and locals.

We are so glad that we took this tour. It was the highlight of our trip! Our guide was energetic, knowledgeable and personable. She conveyed much interesting and fun information about our culinary destinations and the various cultural points of interest along the way. Definitely a great way to learn about Chicago. It was like watching a show from the Food Network! We are recommending this tour to all of our family and friends.

overall a good mix of food and culture of chicago
Sat, May 23  1:00 PM sungscow Male 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
good tour of eclectic [mostly] mom & pop shops ranging from teas, spices, oils to deep dish pizza. while some of the tour stops seem like a marketing pitch, the weaving of certain architectural and cultural tidbits made it even more interesting. great for dates and new visitors to chicago. would have been nice to linger and shop at some of the stops but understand the time limits to adhering to the tour schedule.
