| My husband and I enjoyed the tour, walking through the Chicago neighborhoods, learning the history and visiting the shops. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the neighborhoods and shops.
We went back to most of the shops to do our own shopping a few days later.
All the food we tasted/drank was delicious. |

| My wife and I were visiting from Canada and it was the highlight of our trip! We learned so much great information and saw such beautiful buildings and houses along the way, including the old playboy mansion. The trendy little shops were just great and the food too! I would recommend however to wear very comfortable shoes and to watch for uneven pavement in spots as one lady fell. People of all ages seemed to enjoy the tour as well and for people who wish to know about the best places to eat and visit or anything else you might want to know about Chicago, this is a great way to find out! Have fun! |

| My husband, adolescent son and I took this tour last weekend. The weather was just perfect so the walk was very enjoyable. Nikki (our guide) would explain things along the way, like the history of the neighbourhood, or interesting facts about some of the houses we passed by. At the different food stops, we would get a short explanation of the things we were going to taste or about the shop. It was very interesting and I definetely recommend it. I have been many times to Chicago but I had always stayed in the area around the Magnificent Mile or gone to specific theaters/museums farther away; this tour gave me the opportunity to see 3 different, very nice neighbourhoods that I would have not visited otherwise. It was great. The air show was going on at the Navy Pier so we got to see some of the airplanes passing by, it was spectacular but a little loud from time to time. I am not complaining, I liked the fact that we got to be on the walking tour and saw part of the air show at the same time. The food was ok to good, in my opinion. It must be difficult to try and match 16 people's taste. My favourite stop was the balsamic vinegar and olive oil shop, it was very different and a nice surprise (I never thought I would enjoy drinking bits of balsamic vinegar, straight). My husband and son liked one of the chocolate shops. We had had breakfast about 1 h before going and it was good because there is a lot of walking involved. You do not end the tour where you start so be prepared to walk back (it took us 1 hour) or take a taxi/public transport. Again, the weather was just perfect so the 3.5 + 1h walk was very enjoyable, but I don't think it would have been that fun in cold or wet weather, so check the forecast before booking (I did not but we were lucky). |

| We had a great time. We enjoyed seeing new (to us) neighborhoods and tasting and learning! One tiny improvement could be made: we would have prefered more unique/interesting cheese sampling at Catering - Chocolate. While the imberico and the provolone were tasty, we would have prefered something a little less "pedestrian" from the cheese case. On the other hand, the samplings at Old Town Oil compensated. Overall, the tour was a nice time and we'd recommend it to others. |

| We had a 1230 tour. If you eat breakfast like they tell you to on the confirmation printout - you'll be fine. The food you taste throughtout the tour is enough to keep you quiet if you have a normal appetite.
Some unique/ items to taste - its a fun time for sure.
You must must must wear comfortable shoes - the tour is advertised as 3 hours long - ours went 4 hours.
What is not obvious is that if you plan to do any walking after this tour - you might not be upto doing much of it in the latter part of the day (and especially the next day) so plan your trip accordingly - keep things relatively light for your day b4/after the tour (or be doing something super fun where you wont notice how tired your legs are).
Keeping this in mind - highly recommended. |

| I had a wonderful time on the food tour. It was a great way to see the various neighborhoods of Chicago and learn a little bit about the city. The variety of stops on the tour was great and we went back to at least half of the places to buy stuff later on. It was one of my favorite activities from my trip to chicago. |

| My daughter is at school at du paul. So over the last 2 years we have explored a lot in the neighborhood. We had been to 7 out of the 8 places on the tour. It would be a good idea to name the places on the tour so one could decide if it was worth while.
I also thinks a late afternoon tour with wine might be fun.
Glad to hear you are doing the tour in different neighborhoods |

| This tour is unique. We did the same one in Greenwich Village a couple of years ago and it wasn't as diverse as the Chicago tour. The variety of the 8 stops on the tour was much appreciated. The only drawback is that there is no time to shop in the fabulous shops. |

Good, but probably not for "foodies"

| While a couple of the stops were very interesting, about half of them disappointed in one way or another.
The Jewish deli was nothing more than a place to meet and have a pretty average latke.
The cheese stop, Catering & Chocolate, was a couple pieces of tame cheese without any real discussion of them.
The first chocolate shop, the Fudge Stop, may make some interesting confections, but their chocolate is sub-par.
The tea shop, the oil shop, spice store, and the pizza were all worthwhile, though, and the guide was very friendly and professional. The three hours went by quickly.
Overall, this is a fine tour and enjoyable for people who don't consider themselves real "foodies". If you're looking for off-the-beaten-track flavours and experiences, it's probably best to look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a pleasant introduction to a few Chicago neighbourhoods, this provides good value for the money. |

| We took the tour on August 15th and the weather was great. It was so much fun.We went to places we would never had if not on the tour. All the tastings were great, each with its own uniqueness. The tour guide was Jennifer and she was such a delight. She made sure everyone was taken care of at each and every stop. She loves her job and it shows. Very informative with Chicago tidbits along the route.Be sure and let Jennifer know that the three nurses from Ga. loved the tour and her enthusiam. My favorite was the oil and vinegar shop and tne pizza. Chicago pizza is great. Enough said, I think you can tell I loved it. Thanks for the wonderful time. |
