| The tour was very nice, and the tour guide was great -- very energetic and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun, even though we were walking about 4 hours in 80 degree heat! I did learn a lot and felt like the tour showed us new places we wouldn't have found otherwise, and we know more for future visits. The tour is definitely worth doing, with a few side notes:
I would recommend a light lunch or good breakfast beforehand, because you don't really eat enough to span the afternoon and you will be hungry if you have skipped lunch.
Also, there is no shopping on the tour -- we were leaving the next morning, so we didn't have extra time, and it was very frustrating to reach the end and either have to pay cabs to get back to the shops or retrace an hour or so of walking to go back and buy the products. It cost a little over $20 in cab fares to get back to the shops we wanted to buy from and then back to our hotels, which kind of canceled out the benefit of the coupons they offer. The way around that would seem to be scheduling smaller groups with some built-in shopping time, even ten minutes extra, in each shop. What would be even better would be is an arrangement with Chicago free Trolley system to meet people at the end and bring them back, or maybe stop at shops...
The tour is worth doing, just be prepared, depending on the length of your stay, to have to pay or walk more to go back and shop, and eat something or bring a little snack in your purse. Also recommend to do morning or when it's cooler... |

| The pace was leisurely, which was nice. Despite the heat and humidity (and a brief downpour), our tour guidess (kind of like a godess, only in the guide world) remained cheerful, conscientious of our needs, and really tried to make a connection with each person on the tour. It was fun. It was factual. I learned a lot! |

| Overall this walking tour was very good--informative, entertaining, and interesting. Our speaker/guide--Shane--really knew his subject matter and was able to answer most of our questions.
The walking tour is spread out pretty well so there are breaks between walking to stop in the stores being visited on the tour. I can understand why it was impractical to stay along enough at each venue to do some actual shopping but this would be a great addition to the tour as many of us on the tour were unable to make return trips to the stores later the same day or the next day, etc. based on being in Chicago from out of town. |

| We purchased two tickets for myself and my spouse. We have found that these tours offer you exposure to parts of the city we might not have seen otherwise.
We enjoyed it very much and will be searching for these types of tours every time we go to a new city.

| We enjoyed seeing the different neighborhoods and all the tasting stops were great. We will go back to this area on our own. We would have liked to walk a little slowly so we could have taken in all the area around us. Our tour guide was great. I would recommend this to anyone. |

| My wife and I really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was personable, knowledgeable & enthusiastic. The shops were unique, but one of the chocolate shops could be eliminated. You should replace it with another shop where the group can get something of substance to eat, like the patato pancake & the pizza. People do expect a progressive eating experience and another type of shop with something of substance to eat would accomplish this. I have recommended the tour to several friends and will continue to do so. Very enjoyable day. Thanks. |

| My friend and I arrived in Chicago on a day long bus trip and we wanted to do something other than walk down the streets, bar hop and shop. I went on-line and discovered this tour. I would definitely recommended it to anyone who likes to walk and experience other adventures. We has a great tour guide (Nikki) who is a native of Chicago and provided a lot of insight with all the beautiful buildings and homes. Old Town is something that everyone who visits Chicago should experience to get ideas on what to do in the future or next day. The only slightly negative comment is that we were expecting more food as some of the reviews, comments said you wouldn't have to buy lunch - you would be full - so we did not eat. Don't get me wrong, we had tea and chocolates and some cheese with a piece of pizza at the end which was great but we could have eaten more since we thought we were getting enough to fill us up for lunch. You definitely will get a work out!! Try it! Just bring a few snacks! |
