A Great Change of Pace

| In my opinion, this tour was a great value. Not only do you get to try some excellent foods, spices and oils, but you also get to walk through some interesting neighborhoods! I ended up purchasing all my Chicago souvenirs from the stores on this tour because the products were unique and wonderful! Our guide (Emily) was enthusiastic and obviously loves her city, which boosted our enthusiasm for the tour. I'd also like to mention that while a few reviewers have indicated that the actual amount of food you eat on this tour isn't much...but I thought it was perfect! I personally cann't get stuffed on food and then walk at a decent clip very comfortably. If you're really concerned about the amount of food, I'd suggest having a late breakfast - just don't get TOO full before this tour, because you'll get an extremely filling and delicious pizza toward the end! For something a little different, I HIGHLY recommend this one! |

| My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. We are both unfamiliar with Chicago but felt that this tour helped us get our bearings. We also figured out where to get a great meal and where the good shopping is. This tour introduced us to neighborhoods we otherwise wouldn't have seen. Our tour guides (one was in training) were great! They were willing and able to answer just about every question we asked them. For what we got, this tour was an absolute bargain. |

| The tour group was small (6 people) which was nice as we got to chat to the tour guide who was very friendly and forthcoming with information. The range of food places we visited was good and so was the quality. I especially enjoyed the stuffed pizza! One of the local specialities. I would recommend this tour for the beginning of your stay. We were only staying for a short time but if we'd had longer I would have definitely revisited some of the food places on the tour and tried some of the restaurant recommendations. |

| I thought that the tour stops were all excellent choices and the tour guide was professional and interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visitng Chicago. |

| We had Jen as our tour guide. She did a great job guiding us through the Chicago tour. I was on the tour with my parent while they were up visiting me in Chicago. The tour was made up of 8 people, which was a good size.
I found out about the tour from metromix. It was great. Jen mentioned that there might be a Chicago loop tour going south. That would be a good idea. I would like to do the tour again next year, but with different spots.
We went back that day and the next to the merchants and used some of the coupons that were handed out with the tour packet.

| We loved this tour. Our guide was informative and fun, the sites included were all wonderful. (We went back later & spent a small fortune on oils and spices!) It was a great way to see Chicago neighborhoods. We would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in food and Chicago. |

| My wife and I have been to Chicago many times, but had never taken a guided tour of the city. The description of the tour sounded great (we are both foodies), so we enthusiastically signed up. The tour itself was better than either of us had imagined. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, both about the places we specifically visited and about Chicago in general. The tastings were also amazing--the types of food were very diverse (from spices and oils to pizza and chocolate) and overall very filling (no dinner afterwards!). However, even if you are not really into the specific food tastings during the tour, this tour provides a great overview of where to find some of the city's best restaurants that are often overlooked by tourists as well as gives a better intro to the history of some of Chicago's neighborhoods then you will get on some other neighborhood walking tours. I would extremely, greatly, highly recommend this tour to anyone!! The only warning I have is that after taking this tour, all other Chicago historical walking tours will seem boring and bland! |

| The food tour was incredible, saw some amazing places and the tour guide, Shane, was very knowledge about the city which made for some great learning of the history as well. I can't say enough good things about this tour I would definitely recommend and have recommended to all that travel to Chicago as a must do. Thank you so very much it was amazing! |

| My daughter and both I enjoy cooking (and eating) and we were looking for something different to do while in Chicago for the weekend. This tour fit the bill perfectly. Our tour guide, Nicki, was enthusiastic, friendly and very knowledgable. We enjoyed the variety of different shops and restaurants and seeing neighborhoods that we hadn't seen on previous trips to Chicago. Nicki kept the tour moving at a nice pace, but we never felt like we were rushed through any of the stops. We went back to several of the shops, after the tour, to purchase the items we had sampled and are looking forward to trying them out at home. A friend of mine was also on the tour with us and the 3 of us couldn't stop talking about how much we enjoyed the day. I would highly recommend this tour. |
