| Nicki was our tour leader and she really made the walk fun and interesting. Even after having lived in Chicago for many years, she shared some great places and fun commentary. I will recommend this tour to all my friends....and that is the real test.
Go...you will love it. |

| I really enjoyed my tour and highly recommend it for anyone!!
Our guide, Tad, was terrific!! He was very nice and informative. He pointed out so many interesting highlights of the neighborhoods and told us many interesting Chicago stories. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and makes the tour so interesting and enjoyable! He was very accommodating and helpful with anything we asked.
Everything was well organized and there were no glitches at all. All-in-all one of my most memorable Chicago experiences!!! Keep up the good work!!!
It does require a lot of walking at a fairly brisk pace so be sure you emphasize this to anyone who inquires about the tour.
I will take this tour again and the next time bring my camera!! There are a lot of good photo opportunities!! |

| It was a great way to spend a beautiful fall day in Chicago. The guide was great - personable, knowledgeable, focused on us having a good time. Enjoyed all the stops and the food. Loved walking through such neat areas of the city. My only suggestion would be to have less chocolate related places and substitute with something else. I would definitely take another tour with your company and hope that you will keep me informed of up and coming events. |

| We had a great guide on a beautiful fall day with family from out of town! We taste tested interesting and yummy items including tea, spices, cheeses, vinegars & oils, pizza, potato pancakes, butter toffee, etc. We received a lot of very interesting information about the places we visited and the products they carried, as well as the history of the area we walked through. Niki, our guide, was engaging, entertaining, and full of information. |

| The tour was even more interesting than we anticipated. The tour guide was informative and entertaining. We especially enjoyed the Oil & Vinegar shop. It was a place that we may not have sought out on our own. We also enjoyed the time spent at the Spice shop. It was a very good mix of food and history. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Chicago area. |

| The tour was engaging, tasteful and lots of fun. Our guide was entertaining and used lots of humor. I learned a lot about the neighborhoods that we walked through and got some exercise too. I look forward to "tasting" other neighborhoods in the future. |

| A real opportunity to visit parts of the city I had never been to. I enjoyed the combination of the walk, info. about the neighborhoods and a nice variety of shops and restruants to do our tasting. I would recommend the tour to my friends. |

| THINGS I LIKED ABOUT IT:
The price was reasonable, the distance walked was about right, and the duration of the trip was good. The concept is wonderful; eating and then walking to another place to do some more eating. The guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The meeting place was perfect: near a nationally recognized landmark, in front of a chocolate store (how great is that?). The neighborhood history and the various building architecture styles that were pointed out were excellent.
SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS:
1) DELI - We got a cooling, rather greasy potato pancake with no sour cream or apple sauce for dip. I suggest something more exciting at this, the first stop. Say, a pastrami and cream cheese roll with chopped green onions.
2) TEA - Here, I would like to see 3 or 4 small samples of different kinds of tea, rather than one large cup. Most didn't finish it; they dumped it out along the way.
3) CHEESE - There was one cheese stop; everyone loves cheese. Maybe expand upon this.
4) CHOCOLATE - Now, make no mistake; I love chocolate. But we had 3 chocolate stops, plus we started out with chocolate (at Ghirardelli's). That's too much chocolate (I didn't think I'd ever say that!), especially for those who may not share my love.
5) SPICES AND OILS STOP - Great! Keep these.
6) REALLY WEIRD STUFF - I suggest a stop that only the most adventuresome would like: Spicy Indian, or raw fish, or killer hot sauce, or black eel soup, or pig's-blood-cake, or something comparably nasty. It'd give the tour a full range and a point of base comparison.
These criticisms are intended to be constructive--I've already recommended the tour to my daughter. |
