| It is essentially a walking historic tour of Chicago's northside with food! The food was very good and there was a wide variety... from chocolate to tea to potato pancakes. Restaurants were spaced out along the route, so that you get to walk through beautiful neighborhoods hearing about their history, and then stop for a few minutes and sit-down and eat. I don't know that I would recommend it for very young children, or very old people who cannot walk very much, since the tour takes about 3 hours and covers a distance of about 3 miles. I strongly recommend it for groups of adults, whether they be out-of-town or "locals". For out-of-towners it is a great way to see a huge portion of the city, and for locals, it is a great way to find and try new restaurants! |

| We had so much fun on this tour and experienced a great sampling of what Chicago has to offer. I had chaperoned a school field trip that took the food tour earlier in the spring and thought it would be a great opportunity to show my mother, aunt, and cousin around Chicago. This tour is great for anyone who is unfamiliar with the city or who lives around the city and wants a new way to experience the food and history of some of the best parts of Chicago. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone. Both of the tour guides that I have seen were extremely friendly and made the 3 hours fun and entertaining. I can't say enough good things- what a treat! |

| The tour was informational as well as a lot of fun. The food tastings were good. It did require more walking than I expected, and with the warm weather that day, I and my friends were tired and sweaty at the end. Our guide was informed and entertaining.

| My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food tasting and walking tour. Our group was a cross section of the US and some folks from Wales. A casual and informative tour accompanied by some great samplings of foods and sweets (although it was a bit skewed toward the chocolates!) Learning about restaurant options along the way was an added touch and our tour host managed to do it without making it sound like advertising! We would recommend this to anyone as an interesting and different way to experience part of the culture of Chicago. |

| A great welcome to Chicago on our first morning in town! We learned many interesting facts, and saw a lot of Chicago we would have missed without this tour. Shane was a wealth of information and a pleasure to spend the time with. He really knows his stuff! A 2 mile walk so wear confortable shoes and clothing. A good pace and easy to keep up. The food was all very good! |

| We enjoyed a great sampling of "off the beaten track" specialty food establishments with an informative tour of the local neighborhoods. A wonderful and entertaining afternoon for Chicagoans as well as their out of town guests! I'll definitely come back for seconds!

| Really enjoyed seeing different neighborhoods and learning about architecture. Enjoyed the food tasting. Would love to go on another tour if in a different neighborhood/restaurants. |

| We found this on the Chicago website and thought it would be fun. We went for a girls weekend and it was our favorite thing we did. Our host for the walk was a young man named Tad who we just loved. He was very nice and very knowledgeable. We thought there was alot more walking than we had theard and that was hard since we had our mom with us who is 72. The shops were fantastic. We really enjoyed the spice shop and went back there after the tour. They should add the Oil shop right next door as we loved it too. |

| I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see a little more of Chicago than provided by a normal downtown tour. I am new to the city and this tour taught me a lot about different neighborhoods that I may have never explored on my own. The tour also had a nice selection of tastings, but I would recommend having one less chocolate stop and maybe another "food" stop such as the potato pancake or pizza. I am not a big chocolate lover so that is the only complaint I have about this tour. Otherwise, the tour was well laid out and the tour guide was friendly and enthusiastic and had lots of interesting anticdotes about the areas covered on the tour. We had a great time! |
